Hi fellas.
Does anyone know if I can use Vx220 clam on a turbo vx220. Is there any difference in fitting it on? or any difference in any other way.

I'm not 100% sure but the front clam is the same but the rear is different - the boot is smaller on the turbo as the engine takes up more room (and the bootlid is different).

The turbo clam is much fatter and slower but cheaper to tune

The very early NA clams didn't have the holes drilled for the splitters so you'd have to drill them but otherwise they are the same. Later NA and turbo clams are the same.

So the boodlid of my turbo clam, should fit on the NA clam. What about the boot it self like spuk87 said, is that too big on the NA clam, do i have to cut it? And one other quiz what is the later clam?
Is the turbo clam diffrent in looks in any ways, is it wider or something like that?
I just have to be shure before I buy this one cos I have to ship the clam over seas, so I want to be shure Im buying a clam I can use:) Thanks for your answer guys

No, NA rear clam needs an NA bootlid as the boot bulkhead is in a different place. Turbo rear clam needs a turbo bootlid, for the same reason. The mouldings on the underside of the bootlids and catches are in different places to match the position of the boot bulkhead. An NA rear clam may just about fit with the turbo engine but could well need the boot bulkhead cutting to give the necessary space for the turbo engine (and more importantly it's ancillaries) and prevent any heat issues.
The only difference between the turbo rear clam and the NA rear clam is the size of the "engine bay" and the resulting position of the boot bulkhead.
Do yourself a favour and buy a turbo rear clam, if you have a turbo.

I guess I will, thank's for all the info, looks like I will have to dig deeper to find me an Turbo clam.
Seams to be far from being worht it to try to fit the NA clam to a turbo car.
