Hi, my eaton M62 had a little leakage and I revised the seal. The old oil is out completely and now, I want to refill the charger. I have ordered the original supercharger oil by GM (2 x 4oz) but I dont know how much comes in. I've read a lot of opinions and from 3,5oz to 6oz, everything was called. Has anyone an informaion how much oil exacty comes in? Or is there a technique to refill on the right level? Someone said, its correct to put the removed supercharger in sitting ground level and refill until the oil comes out of the drain plug hole. Is this right? Thanks for any info. Greets, Benny

Thanks for super fast answer! Where do you know this from? Is there any official statement by GM or Eaton ... or is it experience? Thanks and greets, Benny

Thanks for the link. But this information refers to an "small" refill (suction and refill) and 100ml are 3,4oz. My supercharger was opened and its completely dry. So I think, I need a little bit more oil than 3,4oz?! Greets, Benny

As i understand it that if you drain all the oil out then 100ml is what you use to replace it. I'm not quite sure what you mean by a "small" refill. The oil is very thin btw so not a great deal will remain if the SC was drained.

I think, its not possible to drain the oil out completely in mounted condition. There is some oil in the bearings which needs some time to flow in the housing. And its difficult to suck all the oil out of the housing because its not good accessible and has small rooms where oil can remain in. But Im not sure about this ... Hey Joe, what do you say to this? 3,4oz or 6oz? And why? Greets, Benny

6oz because I have done this and I know it works. Plus it's what the Americans do after a long amount of research!
