I suspect that is just condensation from too many short journeys or a blocked cam cover breather or an oil catch tank is fitted (which sc hate)

The cams are too clean and oily for it to be the oil cooler

Cams look ok, they are just wear lines from when the stupid valve springs decided to kill your first engine

yea, it is a slight relief that it seems to be the short journeys.. a couple of other people on another forum suggested the same. im going to change the oil and filter tomorrow and then im going to monitor it on a weekly basis and see how its doing, if i get it again or start to get it again i will check the cooler.
