Bear in mind everything I've learnt about painting cars has come from watching half a dozen episodes of American Hotrod.

Lol my bad.
Whilst we are here ive read loads of old threads and 5v at the pump plug keeps coming up. Some/most say you should have battery voltage at the pump but there is plenty of threads with people finding 5v at the fuel pump plug which we have. I ran out of time so couldnt fault find but i now have a diagram with wiring colours so will get this car started. I've not followed the diagram back to where the power comes from, just seen that it is linked from the injectors power. On a mighty/far superior turbo should i see 5v or battery voltage at the fuel pump plug? Currently got 5v and don't want to trace back if its right and problem is the pump side?
Cheers in advance.
By the way the car looks great and i cant believe Nigel painted it him self. The fecker has bought another white car with black bits which i find slightly disturbing but apparently its very "G" If you don't know what it means you aren't as down with the kids as i am YO!

It'll definitely be 12v (or whatever the alternator outputs) once the engine is up an running. The fuel pump relay might conceivably get a 5v signal from the ECU to energise the 12v high current side of the relay but don't know for sure.

Cheers ill check my car voltage at the relay to compare but i'm not going to strip my car to check the voltage at the pump. Dont fancy taking the pump out of one of those ally tanks! (Again )

Fcuking miserable job that, or at least putting it back in is.

Fingers crossed we wont have to but the failing to start is defo down to fuel as we are getting nothing at the rail and even removed the flow side out of the pump to see if we got anything but sadly not. Funny thing is the 20A fuse was blown! We will sort it and report the fault.

Why not? I'd like to see a little more commitment here, George.but i'm not going to strip my car to check the voltage at the pump.
Tbh, watching someone else do it isn't that bad Still think that blown fuse was suspicious thoughFcuking miserable job that, or at least putting it back in is.
