Stage2 SC vx is lighter and more powerful than an Exige S.

VX might not win for looks but £25k on a lotus or spend £5k on the vx and make it a track weapon?

Yeah that! Why Exige?
If you want track killer go Honda Elise S1 SC?

The OP said he might buy and Exige S?

I'm assuming you're buying one and selling the vx? I'm more saying for £10-12 k you cant get much better than a SC vx. If you had £25k then yeah buy an elise/ exige S1 honda lump. Good luck making many sound tests though ;)

I've always wanted an Exige, since the S1 came out, not paying £28k for a crappy Rover K series that's liable to go bang at any moment though, so a newer Exige S still looks tempting, love the looks and performance. If I go down the SC the vx route, kind of means I have to keep it, seeing as I will have pumped some serious cash into it, and not convinced I want it for another few years yet?? decisions decisions! Arctic, are you saying the VX won't pass sound test or the Exige S, cos ideally it will go on track!

The Exige/Elise s1's are quite loud but any SC lotus type car is on their limits of sound with the wrong exhuast.
