Lets aim high - how much would 12 be then? And would nine get us any more disc over the six? Time to start an official group buy list in the correct section James? G

Just to convince some of the possible doubters out there... (i'll be sticking with 17/17)

G

Thats a shame, the car feels so right with 195/50/16s on the front. Almost as thought it was designed for it ;)

Am I right in thinking that you both run 16/17 combo as well?

Yep. I certainly do. I run with 195/50 16 & 225/45 17 R888's - no problems. Another set of wheels with 205/45 16 & 225/45 17 R1R's - no problem. And the final set of wheels with 195/50 16 & 225/45 17 KU31's - again no problems. All of those have been run on road and track and the difference is staggering.

If there are any doubters out there and you're local to me, you're welcome to try my 4-channel unit on your car to see how much of a difference it makes. That's assuming you can replicate your problem on demand, buggered if anyone is taking it for any length of time though. :D

Should be fine. At this rate I'll finally summon up the motivation to get my car back on the road, sometime in November. thumbsup

Problem is EVERY fecker runs TDs, and IMHO they look a bit 'aftermarket'. Really, really like the look of the Turbo wheels - if they did the fronts in 16 then that would be great. Astra turbo wheels do NOT look the same, they look pikey.

If I ever change the fronts on my VXT, it will be for some ATS DTCs, and frankly I don't have the budget for that.

The thought has crossed my mind. Depends on whether Duncan can swap an RS4 V8 in, in time.

Great stuff, for all the new TDs owners, I was getting a bit of ice mode on 17/17 bridgestones, but now get it baaaad with 16/17 Yokohama AD08s.

That's a shame. I reckon the turbo wheels are the worst looking wheel of any on the VX (and that includes the Speedlines or lookalikeies). Half the cars on the road have them or very similar interpretations. They always look like a bit of a sad copy of the Gallardo wheel to me. :D

No particular fan of the TD 1.2's either, despite having three sets. :beat:

Change to the four bolt Astra hubs and the world is your oyster, wheel wise:

Without bringing up an old debate, I actually think the TDs look a little, how shall we say, Chav?

See, I feel the same about VXT wheels. Anything that's developed it's own nickname in "snowflakes" surely means you're on dangerous ground? :P

actually i've got an answer. Not much change on from six apart from we can get free postage from 10 and above (worth £10). to be honest i happen to know what we are at rock bottom, and Chris Neil are doing a bit a favour, i've pushed as hard as i can. Chris Neil have set-up a pretty good process which i'll PM to each of the interested parties.

Sorry if I've missed it - but do these come coded, or would we need to do that afterwards?
