With a 'coded' unit guys when you instal it the ABS light will be permanent on until you drive the car literally 20 meters and the wheel sensors calibrate to it thumbsup

This *may* save you doing what I did which was swapping back and forth to the 2 channel unit wondering why the light wouldn't go out!! :)

Yes, that was a fun time for us both. ;)

Ouch, wasn't really factoring that sort of cost myself to be honest. Need to see if we can get a deal really.

Blimey, would definitely be nice to get a price for them to be coded up as part of the GB then as well.

Cheers!

Just spoken to Andrew at Maidstone Sports Cars, he says they have the scan tool to do this and it bleeds the brakes at the same time. He reckons about an hour and £50-60 if that helps anyone. Cheers, Phil

About an hours labour sounds more reasonable, £450 all in is a bloody good price thumbsup

Tempted, very tempted at this price even though I've never really had much of a problem - just dont use ABS on track Mr Gray, my wife is of the opinion that you are a bad influence on my bank account! (will PM you re another issue since i may not make it back to Blighty until late in the year)

Indeed, you only need to look back at previous threads on the matter and (exlcuding the dodgy uklotus chaps) these are the best prices for a long time.

I did speak to the service dep at CN today though. They won't batch code them. Needs to be done per car.

I think it would be best for every one that we let this run until the end of the bank Holiday, maybe a day more, and then i'll inform CN that we are ready to go, and will PM everyone on the list with the details. Sound fair?

On behalf of my bank balance I am quite relieved to be honest, would have been hard to pass on them otherwise. Thanks for asking thumbsup:

With regards to the recoding, I presume it is to tell the unit what size wheels you are running?

Right my new car has got abit more than I'd hoped but not maxed my budget out so I'm going to give this some thought over work tomorrow and decide if I can chuck another stack of money on the vx atm. I'm going to give hangar111 a call and see if they'd be able to sort the reset out for me. If not is it any lotus dealer?
