Hell yes Skala has a great beach for one. Car hire is a must. I think I may have generated a guide a couple of years ago for someone else who's going there. I'll see if I can find it. If not I'll give you some tips in this thread

Car hire is already booked. We declined transfers at 100 quid and booked a car for a week at 120, straight from the hairport.

I've found it. PM me your email address and I'll email it to you. It's a basic guide I knocked up and I guess there are a few more I could add. I might just add them to this thread. BTW, fill up the car at the petrol station just outside the airport (if it isn't already full). Its normally one of the cheapest on the island. Beware, fuel is more expensive than it is here

Tell me about it! It was about 20p a litre more expensive than here last year. And I drive the cars over there like they are hire cars I rarely look at the speedo over there. In villages and towns I drive really quite slowly. Out on the open road, I get my foot down. I've driven 1000's of km's over there and never had any issues with the law. Once I was driving down a long straight road doing slightly in excess of the speed limit. Oddly as it was long straight road, they have solid white lines. Anyway I was following a police car and he told me to overtake him. So I did. And did double the 'speed limit'. Its all very relaxed over there.

Well, turns out you really dont need a tomtom. The free map with the hire car was more than adequate. However, I really wouldn't recomend going, the beaches were rammed as you can see from this pic of the better half..

The weather was terrible as you can see....

....and the locals, well....

glad you enjoyed the island. You were lucky myrtos was empty.it gets rammed in July and August. Plus the sea looked really calm which is also lucky. It often gets very rough there with waves sometimes in excess of three metres! There is more I need to add to that guide. But there is only so much you can do in a week. Come on more pictures

There is a cave right at the end of the beach you can just see by the waterline. I had a pee in there 5 years ago.
