It's not a hard thing to change over but there does seem to be some confusion over part numbers.

The Lotus 4 channel ABS actuator is part number 2 on the below diagram.

Item Qty Part Number Description Notes

01 1 A120J6000F ABS Control Module

02 1 A120J6004S ECU Kit, ABS actuator

03 1 A116M0091S HCU Kit, ABS actuator

In reality this is what the part looks like

Additionally the part number (found on the bottom of the unit) is NOT the reference as above, it is instead S108196012

New ABS unit

Fitting the unit was pretty simple. Remove the connector from the unit by sliding the clip sideways

Undo the four torx head screws and remove the computer unit from the hydraulic unit.

After that simply install the new computer with new rubber seals by reversing the procedure

here's the original 2 channel unit part number

Good guide & pics. Sure this will clear up any confusion about part numbers etc people have. Cheers.

Ive recently head that some ''4 channel'' ab systems on ebay might actually be the original 2 channel with a sticker identical to the 4 channel = you think your paying for a 4 channel but i actually is the same rubbish 2 channel you already had.

does anyone know how to tell the diffrence between the systems appart from what the sticker says?

they are the same unit, but with different software, so without testing it on a car it's not going to be very easy to tell them apart.

Once fitted to a vx220 the 2 channel abs ECU can be seen on some vauxhall diagnostic software, but the 4 channel Lotus item needs specific Lotus diagnostic software
