I wanted a VX, started turning up to essex meets, had a few pax rides, then i REALLY wanted a VX. Started looking, found one that was perfect, told him I wanted it. I was really lucky because all the other "intersted" partys pissed him about. So about 2 months later I got a bus and two trains to snowing wales. (furum guide in hand) looked over the car and desided that it was ok. Snow Ice and rain first drive and 300 miles drive home... that was 2010! the grin is still there :D

Cheers JG, it was spooky! I'd never been to Liverpool/St Helens/Lime Street station before, so to see that name my train time, train station and location on the ONE day that I was going there really sent shivers up spine....suffice to say I also got a lottery ticket that week too.

Judging by the fact you still have the VX I'm guessing you didn't win? :gayfight:

Long story short - I'd only met one or two people from here before I purchased mine. I couldn't get up to view the car. Iceman (Julian) went to view it for me - assured me of its condition etc, and took £250 out of his own pocket to secure the car for me. I returned a few weeks later and paid the rest - it was the best VX I've owned.

Lol, before buying my first VX I went to view an NA near Abergavenny. Guy asked me if id like to go out with him for a test drive, I agreed. As we were pulling off he laughed and said nobody ever gets in a car with him and that he used to race in some high end Porsche series (he was minted). He proceeded to thrash it through the lanes and I think I shat out a kidney in terror. I was white by the time we got back and didn't look at a another VX for about 6 months!!!!

I hope you did the same to Tony when he bought your VXR ! rallly
