Just got a funny look in the office as to why I was laughing out loud!

I was expecting a "I turned up to look at a VX, sweating alcohol, shaking and carrying armfuls of crap"....
Or is that just when you arrive at a VX meet
well I do work in the smoke..
and I had a backpack full of crap

Purchased my vx October 2009 passed my driving test December 2009.
People on the forum having wagers on how long before I crashed
Sounds a similar story to me apart from it wasn't a Vx,I bought a 3.0 Clio v6 march 08 passed my driving test October 08,kept it for 4 years then sold it when I bought the Vxt

Cheers JG, it was spooky! I'd never been to Liverpool/St Helens/Lime Street station before, so to see that name my train time, train station and location on the ONE day that I was going there really sent shivers up spine....suffice to say I also got a lottery ticket that week too.
Judging by the fact you still have the VX I'm guessing you didn't win?

That's a lot of engine for a first car, Aimy! Kudos for not wrapping it around a tree

Lol, before buying my first VX I went to view an NA near Abergavenny. Guy asked me if id like to go out with him for a test drive, I agreed. As we were pulling off he laughed and said nobody ever gets in a car with him and that he used to race in some high end Porsche series (he was minted). He proceeded to thrash it through the lanes and I think I shat out a kidney in terror. I was white by the time we got back and didn't look at a another VX for about 6 months!!!!
I hope you did the same to Tony when he bought your VXR !

even more Kudos for being able to insure it
I was very shocked with the insurance my self! I was 20 when I passed my test so maybe that helped
