As above really. The battery died on Sunday morning (just before the meet too...) which meant that I had to start the car using a booster pack all day  Anyway just wondering where the best place to buy one from is and what battery you would recommend? I am not really interested in a lightweight one unless it is the same price as the normal ones chinky chinky

Doesn't look like this one has a lift up handle which would make life easier? Cheers.

halfords, with their 4 year guarantee. Strangely their batteries last for 3years and 364 days, you then get supplied with a new one and another 4 year guarantee. I haven't bought a battery in years

I'm sure you can make some kind of loop from packing strap to aid getting it in , or get the RAC bloke to fit it for you.

Thing is, battery without handle, £29.99. Battery with handle £74.99. Think I'll save £45 and skin my knuckles instead :)

Save £45 and your knuckles by using some packing strap or similar. Then it will be there for getting the battery out 3 years and 364 days later.

Appears that RAC link on the thread now comes up with a different battery! Perhaps Halfords with a trade card is now a better option?
