Appears that RAC link on the thread now comes up with a different battery!

Perhaps Halfords with a trade card is now a better option?

you can also get the S3 Bosch 063 from euro car parts , or carparts4less

promo code save5 , £33 incl vat and delivery , part #444770635, http://www.carparts4...70635&0&cc5_993

I think I am on borrowed time with mine as well at the moment. I will probably go with one of these:

Or if I wanted to treat the VX, then one of these

http://www.batteryme....uk/product/C6/

I was a bit dubious about getting a battery in the post, but had no problems when I ordered one for the old shed.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you need a 063 sized battery for the VX.

I wouldn't get too caught up on the Ah of the battery for a VX unless its left unused for long periods not on a trickle charger.

I ordered one of these, just opened the box and the thing has leaked all over the cloth which surrounds the battery, I am not certain how much has leaked but it can't be good, will see how good their customer support is now.

I can't see how, the Bosch s3/4/5 has a sealed battery cover design means no acid can leak.

thumbsdown I have had no issues with the S3 battery I bought. Starts on the button even after 3 weeks of sitting (not on charge with the alarm on and tracker connected) thumbsup
