That's just peak torque figures surely? I would have thought in track there would be little between a 300bhp SC car and a 300 bhp tubby.

Guess we'll have to keep an eye on the timeattack rounds to see what wins

round track yes... but straight line a stage 4 will be quite a chunk quicker than an SC. more torque and delivered sooner.

It will at the moment because the Harrop is sat on the drive waiting to be finished

Essentially a VX with 300 bhp no matter if it is SC or VXT will be almost identical on track. VXT's have more acceleration punch and SC's can get the power down earlier. Me and Cliffe had a mega battle at Anglesey last national, him in a 260bhp SC me in a 260bhp turbo both on the same tyres. There was literally nothing in it over the course of a lap (for about 10 laps)

Would a stage 4 tubby be as quick as a stage 3 supercharged or about the same. Since having my stage 3 ive got use to it and it don't feel as quick now. so wondering if its because its a turbo its feels more brutal then a sc one.

Put it this way 300bhp supercharged 200lbft?

300bhp turbo 360lbft ......... +160lbft

Hmmmmm whats going to be quicker, let me think..... hmmmmmm

Dont you mean 262lbft so only 100lbft plus the extra weight of the tubby.
Chrisuk did a few 0-60 times of a 300bhp sc vx and was under 4 seconds, so would like to see a tubby achieve that.

No good comparing peak figures. If you want to find how a car goes in a gear, work out the area under the torque graph. Of course you may only use a "band" of that, in which case look at the area under that part of the curve. - If its a narrow band you'll have to row the gearbox a lot more though.

That's stage 3 then Haggi? Mine is stage 2 and very similar just obviously around 50bhp/lbft down across the board.

Yeah stage 3 mate. Can anyone remember that guy who fitted a 2.8 pulley i think it was to his charger and the torque it made was mental. He changed it in the end to a 3.1 as it was doing his car no good. Just wanting to have a look at his graph again.

Found it. Look how much torque he made on a stage 2 supercharged vx.
223.8 whp and 344nm from 2800 rpm

I no it wasn't safe for his engine but just shows you what the vx sc can do.
