It will be a massive anti climax. There were stage 1,2,3,4 turbos and stage 1,2,3 sc's last year so whats going to change this year? Probably p*ss it down and a standard na will bully everyone.

Nothing will change unless you lot sort out some good head to heads we can all watch with interest.Just give us a few side by side runs down the straight turbo v sc

Not to sure why this debate is on going the sc wins on sound alone

Lol. Sometimes I think owning an SC car would be fun and different, until I remember the noise!

I dare say you could...but you wouldn't. Actually when i was in the v480 club, a friend compound charged (super + turbo) his 480, making 360bhp. Then it got written off - hes just finished building a westfield around the same lump.

Compound sounds complex and expensive.

Be interesting to put a car like Fabs along side yours .

Main problem with my car is the chair to wheel interface! I'm working on that slowly. I'm super excited about the national though!! :D

Has everyone seemed to forget that an NA, and hence an SC conversion, has a lower final drive ratio than a turbo, and hence will have a gearing advantage over a turbo?

No.

Better gearing in the NA's standard gearbox and even more so in Haggi's 4.17 as well.

I agree fully with Cliffie. For my budget I am faster in a SC than anything else but it money were no object I would buy another Turbo and push 400bh+

Aint that true Jimmy, I am the same if money were not such an issue.

That vid brings back happy memories from Le Mans last year, what a great trip. Also reminds me just how smooth Dave is these days.

oops! Sorry Gordon!

Having an NA at the national without all the trick anti-roll bars and suspension setups is good fun at first but I started to get a bit bored so I started seeing how hard I could throw it violently into corners for a laugh to liven things up a bit.

My VX is awesome compared to 95% of things on the road but when I start to compare it to other vx's....... thumbsdown
