Just curious if anyone has designed/fitted any bigger air scoops? Not sure if it would benefit from this or not but certainly looks wise it could look good if not better all imo of course :)

Sounds good :) Gives me more time to save up ;) If they become available for the rest of us that is? I'd certainly be interested :)

Just found a post from a few months back and the inserts seem to be a problem for the bigger scoops,is this something that can be done?

The OEM ears are normally replaceble by unscrewing.
I would see if you can get the custom ears attached the same way, und just mesh them like the johnny ears.
Then revert to stock if you ever sell the car.

Think I remember reading that the scoops are limited to their standard size due to health and safety regulations?

Yea, I would imagine there is a restriction on how far parts of the body can project from the main structure of the car, otherwise you could be at risk of sucking up babies and doggies off the pavement as you drive down to the shops ;)

Wouldn't you have to anyway to accommodate a wider angle scoop?

I am all for increased cooling if it is required. I see no harm in attempting to improve aesthetics. These pictures make me wonder though.... there are some real nutters own these cars! Paul
