Ive made a start on my SC conversion on my speedster.
Is it necessary to remove the EGR and fit a cheater?
Or can it just be blocked and left plugged in?
I also have a trouble code for the lambda sensor, p0121 (iirc). I've cleared it a few times but it always comes back on. The car has a piper exhaust fitted.
Will I need to get this sorted before I fit the charger?

You can fit the blanking plate and fit the egr back with one bolt and plug it back in , your exhaust fault is probably a faulty sensor or damaged wiring , that won't stop your SC build :-)

Nelly beat me to it!
You could avoid buying a cheater by detaching the EGR valve but leaving it plugged in but you may as well spend £10 on the cheater and just chuck it!

Get the cheater and blanking plate, think of that extra weight slowing you down.

I removed the old NA inlet manifold tonight, I understand now how the EGR works, and why it needs to be blocked.
Il order a blanking plate in work for it.
I had a look on z22se.net, but the cheaters are out of stock, is there anywhere else to get one?

You can also extend the egr from the blanking plate, untill you get your hands on a cheater.
(will technically work, but no longer functional)
