So I have been on one track day with my Kumho KU31's, I feel theirs only one more trackday left in them at legal levels.
So will buying track biased rubber mean the tyres will last longer??
I dont want any more grip as happy with what I have already just a way of not ruining my daily tyres and hopefully saving some cash..
Currnetly running standard 17" Wheels.

No, the reverse. More grip but much higher wear rates for anything track related.
You've got next to bugger all choice with the standard wheels anyway. Much like F1, you need to manage your tyres by keeping an eye on the heat and check/adjust pressures each time you "pit". That's the same whether regular tyres or trackday specials.

Cheers, so I probably need to do shorter sessions...
So with the 16/17 's increase my options so improve my pricing. I do remember seeing someone running 15's and they looked good IMHO not sure if that will get me more choice though...

Yep, session length might be a factor. With the heat comes an increase in tyre pressure which means them heating up further, in a vicious cycle. Get back into the pits and check your pressures ASAP and adjust them back down to help minimise the heat build up.
15" wheels will certainly get you the cheapest options when it comes to tyres. Partridge runs 15" wheels on track which conveniently take the same size tyre as his PBMW race car. 16"/17" or for that matter just a better sized front 17" wheel, would certainly give you a whole world more options when it comes to tyre choices.
