Hi everyone, Just thought i would say a quick hello to the forum!! "Hello" Im a former Lotus Elise owner and recently decided i wanted another. After taking a interest in the VX220 i began reading lots and lots and realised this is probably the better car so joining the VX side :) Currently looking at a few but one in particular as taken my eye. Was just wondering if anyone know anything about this VX or could give me some advice on what the look for when i go see it etc. Ive already done a HPI check and all is good except the Cat D bit is registered. Heres the link http://www.ebay.co.u...c#ht_500wt_1219 One thing i have noticed from the pictures is in the interior pic. What looks to be a Gap of some sort near the drivers seat.... any ideas? Thanks in advance

He said he bought it as a damaged car and did the repairs. Its apparently had a new front clam, front drivers suspension, front axel and tracking arms i believe it was. Also there is no books or service history and only the one key... :-/

Have you googled the number plate? Searched here too? What about previous plates on the hpi report?

Not googled the plate yet no... Did a HPI check on it and does show a change from private plates after the CAT damage

Search the plates (or post them here). Also find out the last 4 digits of the chassis number, that's the build number and there is a "register" on here with hundreds of cars and their previous owners, so a good source of info.

Just done a search on google for the plate, a Forum post was the top result.

Check the chassis where the wishbones mount, check where the wishbones would bend back into the chassis, check where the steering rack goes through, When you've done that, check it all again. Take along photos of what it should look like if you're not sure and compare.

One thing i have noticed from the pictures is in the interior pic. What looks to be a Gap of some sort near the drivers seat.... any ideas?

This?

If so, nothing to worry about. It's just the leather or fabric pocket on the sill, as with the other side.

Try to find out when the repair was or how many miles have been done since to give a bit of peace of mind its solid. Looks nice though. In the Hudd too so may see you about, no others I dont think anymore.
