Look out for totally standard Silver n/a, which sounds like it has a supercharger on.

Not surprised by the 'no history etc'....seems that's always the case when the vendor is 'selling for a mate' lol Milltek on it too

How long is a piece of string?

You know it's a risk, it depends whether the price of it reflects the amount of risk you are taking ;) don't forget you are seriously going to have trouble flogging it on with no history and one key lol

If it were me I'd be seriously wanting to see some before/after pics of the wishbone/crashbox damage (clam damage is largely irrelevant) and I'd want to take a wheel off to have a really close look at the 'repair'....I'd also state that I'll be taking some pics and i'll get back to them in 24 hours (after posting pics on here for comment)

If they start getting twitchy after you've asked for the above then turn a cheek and keep on walking....

As long as it checks out as mentioned by 5oc etc. Piecing together its past history can be tricky as Vauxhall don't hold records as such. As long as you're happy with it and realise the knock on effect should you sell it...

Wellcome to the site.

I will come straight out with it and I think this must be my first negative post but....

The advert seems like he is selling it for a friend. For cheap item that would be a risk I would take.

For a car I would never buy from anyone who was "selling on behalf of a friend".

Could be an ace car but that would be too much money for me to risk. I thought that was one of the top five rules of buying a car, never buy from someone who is selling on behalf of the owner.

Kind regards and good luck whatever you choose to do, Paul

Appart from the guy in the background something looks wrong. The front wheel does not look like it is in the normal position of the wheel arch. My suggestion is take someone along to look at the car who is familiar with the these cars. Good luck, Paul

Could be something totally innocent like the non-ideal offsets on the wheels, so don't dismiss based on a photo.

Looks like it is poking out too much and the camber appears wrong. Might just be the photo. Same advise, take someone along who knows what they are looking for. Kind regards, Paul

It's got my spidey sense tingling I'm afraid. Sounds like a trader moving it on and the car doesn't look right as others above have said. I'd want a decent inspection and ideally accident photos to assess the damage. There is an awesome turbo on here for £9500 and unless you are getting this for something like £6k I would say that is a far better bet in the long run as it's fully documented and appears to have been loved. Cheers, Phil

mmmm, i can see this too now :-/ Just done a bit of digging about and found out which wheels they are: TEAM DYNAMICS PRO RACE by looks of it but in black http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_7487wt_1154 Also i've been dealing directly with the seller, his friend just used his ebay to list the car thats all. The first phone contact i made was with the guy who listed it but then got the seller to call me straight away as the other guy couldn't tell me much about it.

Gonna take my dad along with me now to check everything. May do sum Urgent posting on here for some last minute advice too! :) One positive i can say is that the current owner has had the car nearly 4 years now and still says he reluctant to sell although i suppose this is standard speak when selling. Ill go check it out anyways and if not ill be definitely considering traveling the 240miles to see the turbo on the for sale! Ill put up an update a little later tonight, again thanks again for all the advice, much appreciated :)
