But i will stick to my agreement with you about Lee Manns.
There may be external factors at play now as well, just to add further confusion.

Using a high pressure pump as a lift can shorten its life as its supposed to have some resistance to work against.
I'm with FLD on this one and use a red top carb pump as that will happily lift fuel day in day out at more than the rate you will ever need
Where can I view such a thing...? Are we thinking it's the same size as the standard Vaux pump?

Doubt very much it'll be a drop in replacement.
Not sure whether I finally binned my old pump and housing but if nobody else comes up with any dimensions, I'll have a root in the garage tomorrow and get some dimensions if it's still in there.

it does not have any flow data on it
When I was doing my research on the matter, I rang up Glencoe and got the following data on it. You need to remember to factor in your boost levels and the BSFC of your engines (which is crazy high from what I saw in Lee's car this weekend by looking at his AFR meter), as the boost pressure is dyncamically added to fuel rail pressure during operation. Thus for example if you static FPR is 3.3 bar and your boost is 2.0 bar then your peak fuel rail pressure will be 5.3 bar. This is the measurement you should read off below. As a ball park finger in the air (based on Klassen maps), the Sytec is good for 450 BHP on a VXT and perhaps less for a SC'ed car as you seem to run so damn rich.
Genlcoe/Sytech Uprated Fuel Pump
1 Bar = 270 Ltrs/Hr
2 Bar = 255 Ltrs/Hr
3 Bar = 240 Ltrs/Hr
4 Bar = 216 Ltrs/Hr
5 Bar = 174 Ltrs/Hr
6 Bar = 150 Ltrs/Hr
7 Bar = 96 Ltrs/Hr
If you are concerned about the in tank pump wearing out due to lack of pressure to feed into, then ensure that the outlet from the top of the swirl pot has a small fitting (like the AN3 fitting someone spotted on a certain swirl pot above). This will ensure that the swirl pot builds up pressure and allows the Sytec 'lift pump' to work against that pressure.
HTH.

If the return from the top of my swirl is AN3 how will I get that onto my pump which will have an AN6 connector. Can adaptors be bought?
Also where is the standard fuel filter on there as differnt sized filters are meant to be used no....?
There is a new company called Torques (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Torques-U-K) or Earls at Silverstone do a good selection. You should be able to get virtually any sort of adapter for converting back and forth (eg AN3 to AN6) from either of them. It can get expensive though, and every adapter is another fail/leak point, so best avoided if you can.
The americans (who defined the AN standard) have loads of fuel filters, any ordinary disposable one will do I am sure. Here is the sort of item I used for sale. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item231db10bd6 and a pic of the actual installationlocation on the N/S/R chassis arm.
I was previously unaware of the new law forcing methanol/ethanol being added to bog standard petrol, this is a worrying thing as it can errode both aluminum and rubber and is a rather nasty substance in general. I am surprised that the govt force companies to use it, as even a small amount of it (just a 10 ML sip) can make you go blind. Also it can permiate skin. Stupid pretend "green" govenments.
Jimmy, if you want to hand the work over to a pro and not bother with the headache of it all, try ringing up Ashley or James at Relentless Performance and they can either replicate the system in my car or you can define how you want it.

This is the way forward IMO. The escos uses an intank 044 that might be of use here. I'll try and get a pic. There are some swirl pots with an integrated HP fuel pump. Not cheap but easy install and compact.

looking like my problem was down to a clip coming off a boost pipe just before the throttlebody.although i am going to replace the "first" pump to be sure as i suffered from awful starvation, lena zavarone, before i fitted the swirl pot bits so best to be sure for a handred quid eh?I personnally think my way is the best way
Pro alloy race tank with a 044 pump
Plus it's alot less problematic as daronwalls fuel pump died in the tank and ruined his day as his swirl pot couldn't fill up
