You can see here the difference between the height and length between my TA race car and Matty's shortie at 5mm lower than standard .

Wow this a lot of camber on the rear by the looks of it Cliffie.

Thanks for the feed back and the pictures.
It is always interesting to hear what others say.

Maybe because I have a turbo.............and we know that they weigh in at about 3 tons, or there abouts............that is why I feel no instability whatsoever at up to a speedo reading of 150Mph for mile after mile. I have no aero aids at all. I do have a very good geo set up and slightly wider tyres.
I keep "feeling" for this "floaty" feeling but never find it. Maybe that is because I have driven such appalling cars in the past, Healey, E-type, and a host of TVR's including Tuscan and Sagaris........two very bad handling cars there,
And I have just got use to compensating for problems and driving through them.

But I feel that the VX is not possible to improve upon unless you are 100% track car racing.

Regards.
Korkey.

Bang on. 150 in a straight line is fine, just try doing 90 odd through Copse at Cadwell, that is when you will feel a loose rear end.

I don't fit the rear fittings, they don't really add to the rigidity and they make removing the diffuser a much longer task. so i only fit the 5 on the rear clam.

If you do fit the rear 2 they will need to be thicker than the 5.

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit blonde :)
I've got 6 spacers all the same size they are 20mm will these be ok?

By the sounds of things I can get away with just using 5 I presume all the same length width?
If I decide to fit 7 was size do the rear 2 need to be if my other 5 are 20mm?

Thanks :)

You only need to fit the five in bottom of the clam the side ones are not needed.

Good honest answers from Cliffie, and others.
Cliffie. Can you expand upon your "feelings" please............. er, regarding the diffuser that is.
And thank you for the pictures.

I am not against straping items onto a vehicle ............. if they work that is.
it would seem that the short diffuser is rather a gimick then? And for the "dress-up" types.

Korkey.

I am more like Cole Trickle in that department but I can feel what a car is doing.

Cole Trickle is a legend and my childhood hero!! Oh those were the days!!
