Tesco had a lot of bad press with (very) high water content in their petrol.

They did long before the reccomendations came out too ;)

I remember having to clear a tank of fuel from my dads wife's car after she got mostly water from tescos in 2001ish.

Momentum 99 is made by Greenergy. Tesco's other fuels by someone else. TMS have not been sponsored by Momentum since 2011 so why he has suddenly made this announcement ? Hardly the way to attract new sponsors by treating old ones like this.

^ exactly that, and also shows that all the 'tests' that were done previously were false and consequently that every other test that TMS have carried out or endorsed have also been falsified.

Very strange. There are 11 pages on VXR online, some peeps not happy that they have been loyal to Tesco 99 and Momentum 99 and are now being told not to use it. We AmD were sponsored by them last year but lost out to Mr Plato. We are still happy to and do recommend Momentum as well as V power to our customers.

I could be wrong; but isn't this TMS/Tescos news rather 'old' news? I know it got bumped on PH in the last few days but i'm sure it was aired previously?

Fair enough but you don't tell people not to use it. Just endorses the my view of not believing anything anyone says if they have business interests in it. Gas, nitron, mug coutnays ect ect.

We were sponsored by Momentum last year, it was not renewed in 2012 but we still continue to recommend Momentum or V power.

I am sure there is more to it than just the end of sponsorship, which after all happened a while ago.

Comment from 'come dine with me' thread

Tesco have not sponsored TMS for quite a while now.

A few days later john must have read that and thought

'oh yeah!!' and ditched them!! See he still values your input :D
