Yep its heavier, yep it doesn't handle as well, and yep its a bit slower to 100mph but...

Theres a lot of pro's for me too, so heres the replacement seen as my coral blue stage 2 now lives in Sweden...

Basalt black Carrera 4,
3.4 litre manual,
301bhp of german muscle.

Black leather interior, facelift lights, Turbo wheels, satnav, phone, b&m short shifter, k&n panel filter, new clutch and oil seals (they go first) and a few other bits...

I was a little nervous as far as power goes coming from the stage 2 but its a completely different car with completley different power delivery, smooth and strong power right through the revs, not quite as fun as the VX but the thing pulls like a train.

I'm pretty happy with my choice and it should see me 2-3 years of ownership before i step up the ladder again.

I know a lot of you wont understand the move, but at 26 it feels goog to have a set of porsche keys in your pocket, and its a lot more practical for me at the moment.

:)

Very nice mate. Friend of mine has an almost identical one, very quick car a huge amount of grip considering it's so much heavier than the VX. Rear tyres cost the earth, but it looks so cool going sideways.

Brave man. I've been dancing round the issue of a 911 for years but not got the courage yet. 997 carrera 2S would be my ideal. Did you have it inspected? Nice motor. Get yourself a vx for the weekend :)

Fred666; Is the person who bought your stage 2 on the forum? I try to keep track on all Swedes who own a VXT :)

they were going for silly cheap money a few years ago, wish I had grabbed a GT 911 and just garaged it.

im still around, theres a few cars im fond of on here i like to keep uto date with, so il pop back now and then. yep it will be modified. ive de ambered the headlights, and removed the rear wiper, why a prestige car like a 911 has one, im not sure. its also on axle stands already as the wheels are getting powder coated black. no white leather though haha, subtle black on black this time. coilovers and spacers next. as for tyres. . £200 each for the rear, £130 each up front. p zeros ;)

tyres, I was going to put the Federal RS-R 18" 265 and 235 on mine , they are a semi-slick, but I've been totally happy with mine all year round on the VX.

I always found 911UK the best forum to be honest. I've got a whole black centre console from my old one sitting in the shed as I did a GT3 console delete if you need any bits :)

I had a spare wheel set with Pirelli SottoZeroes on and it was astonishing the liberties you could take in bad Winter weather!

Cheers,

Phil

I've got those sotto-0's on the back at the moment, great for sliding it about. Not much use on snow when worn past 5mm, but very progressive drifty fun.

Yeah, one advantage of getting a 996 or boxster would be the fact I wouldn't need to setup another login when sepoc is there

Very Nice. This one looks like a 1999/2000 model, cheap car tax at this age too! Enjoy
