20mm Hubcentric rear Spacers with longer bolts arrived. I'm not 100% if these are going to fit, I'm willing to roll the arches but anymore work and i'll be ditching them for 15mm's.
Posted Image

Wheels are back from the powder coaters and i'm happy with the finish this time around, the new centre caps look much better with a silver crest too...
Posted Image

Wheel nut covers painted Lamorghini orange to tie in with the brakes... (not sure on these yet, may paint them black)

I've ordered 2 new Pirelli Rosso P Zero rear tyres. 265/35/18's at £200 a side ready for Tuesday, ill get them put on the 10J's then.

Half way through the coilovers but even with them fitted its gonna take ages to set them up. Camber adjustable, ride height adjustable, dampening adjustable, spring compression adjustable etc etc etc

The car will probably be setup at Avia Speedshop and corner weighted while its there, mayswell do things properly for a perfect fast road setup.

Almost forgot, tinted rear plate...

Its been off the road for 3 weeks Luke, I need it all sorted by the beginning of September for Trax show at Silverstone.

Cheers Haggi, im hoping the black interior, wheels, and paint should come together for a dark, moody look

Had a bit of hassle with the front caliper bolts. The hubs are made of toffee, the soft aluminium threads had vanished when i removed the caliper so today it was heli coiled...

Wat was left was drilled out...
Posted Image
A larger thread was cut...
Posted Image
A coil was inserted and job done...
Posted Image

I've now got a new thread for the brake caliper. The car is off to Avia Motorsport Saturday for geo, setup and... corner weighting.

the bottom wishbone looks way to clean, was it part of a general refurb of the bushes etc are you putting new adjustable suspension on?

I'm over the moon with how its looking so far, as for maintenance costs? i'm not quite so happy! In the space of 4 weeks ownership...

2 tyres - £450 (i knew these needed replacing soon so can't complain)
Helicoiling the hub - £70
Caliper bolts £12
New keyfob minus the key blade £200

Its now developed a whining noise which im thinking wheel bearings or transmission issues...

Looking good Fred. Please can you post up more horror stories of excessive costs and if possible that it's dull to drive compared to the VX. I don't want to want one...

Whilst I honour your quest for perfection I don't think I could ever buy one. I have driven one and it was fine but I could not get that excited about it. I actually don't get very excited about the look of them either but being in Canary Wharf area means every second car is one and maybe that has put me off somewhat. Good job though fella

They're fantastically beautiful standard imo but I'm 5 weeks in... give me chance  Im working pretty quickly, but theres lots more to come if shes a keeper...

JG I can see what you mean from the pics, however the shuts line up perfect but maybe the bumpers are curved slightly being plastic? Either way theres no hidden damage behind it and theres a gt3 bumper going on soon ;)

Moospeed - its been expensive so far but the ride is great, its got plenty of power, and its smooth power.

I don't like to compare it the vx220 really as new, its a 70k car, It's a very different comparison...but agreed its far from as exciting as the VX220 and it doesn't handle anywhere near as good, but handling is still spot on, its luxurious and theres plenty of space... oh and its practical lol
That's not to say i won;t end up back in a vx one day

Cheers Matt!
