996 gt3 spoiler would have looked a lot better high marks for effort though.

I hate that big banana shaped thing lol Personal preference though.

Most 996ers fit the whole GT3 996 Aero kit. but I'm a fan of the more angular 997 styling, It looks tougher.

Almost forgot, it's had a set of powder coated black bumper winglets also.

Very nice. Looks in mint condition. Looks more expensive than it actually is?

Great work fred. The quality of your work looks up to its usual high standard. As JG said, I prefer the other spoiler but all personal preference. Is that it finished now or do you have more plans?

I don't think the camera angle flatters in the first pic or two, but the car looks great. I really like the front, quite like the rear, but prefer the banana thing. Have you considered different wheels?

Afraid im not so keen but good effort. Think it would look better with some different wheels in silver.

Not for me I'm afraid, front end is too busy and the wing doesn't work.

Strangely (as I generally don't like wings at all), I actually prefer that wing to the lardy original GT3 one. :o  :beat:

Rickwoo - that was always my plan, to build something that looked £100k's worth, I already get abuse for driving a Porsche at 26 so why not make it look as expensive as people think it is lol. mbes - I've only really driven to Belgium since its been fitted and its been all motorway driving, it doesn't lift from the drag though so thats a good thing. I'm sure it will change things slightly as Porsche have spent enough designing it, although you'd notice it a hell of a lot more with GT3 power and on track. At the very least its aiding cooling! the amount of heat coming out of the vents on this bootlid is unreal compared to before, and the scoops lay right in the wind path of the rear screen. ChrisSC - i plan a lambo orange cage (and I'm in two minds about a subtle stripe - sounds bad on paper but i'm certain it can work) Ralphy - these twists are actually off the aircooled 911 Carrera 4, they are 8J and 10J so sit perfect for me, i have thought about split twists in polished finish but i quite like the moody look. Sizten boots, its a 997 oem style bumper, i think i should have put pics with the plate on, it looks a lot more factory then. rob99 - all i can say to 'the wing doesn't work' is blame Porsche, as its 95% a replica of the GT3 4.0 RS wing. But on a serious note, i appreciate it's not everyones cuppa, for me i wanted to build a tough looking 911 with strong aero influences, and angular edgy styling, that looked more expensive than it is. I'm over the moon with the outcome. Cheers for the comments lads and ladies

The whaley std GT3 wings look gash, much better with RS wings. Next get yourself some RUF pedals, look great and make heal toeing a breeze :)

May or may not change your opinion... I actually prefer it with the plate, but the show i attended in Belgium was more a smooth Euro influenced display - so it came off.

Like it, I wouldn't have the spoiler but I find I'm eyeing up 964's these days. Maybe I'm getting old and it's time for a classic and grow a beard.
