Hi, Thought id say hello to all the great people on this forum. Had my Vx220 for a few weeks now, and used your forum to do a bit of research before buying, and everyone have been very helpful. Had to sort a few things out on it. I removed the armour fend from the front, (old pic showing it still on car). Fixed the broken heater pipe, and gave the car a good clean inside and out, it needed it as the trader had neglected it a bit. So I just wanted to say, keep up the great work helping us newbies with our questions. I live in Essex and would be more than happy if someone want's to check out my VX and let me know if it's ok .It's got a slight rattle at the back, think it could be a drop link? I think i have posted a pic of the car below...if not can someone let me know what i need to do to post a pic...thanks.

Welcome. I'm afraid the VX in Essex has become a bit of a rarity so you may have to travel to get to meets or see fellow owners...

Hello & welcome! Just out of interest why remove the Amourfend? It does help protect stone chips. Happy & safe driving.

Hi Ant Welcome to the forum - an essential element in VX ownership! I'm new too (bought my na in May), but have met with the Essex crew a few times and would definitely recommend joining one of their runs. They're great fun and these guys really know their cars! There are also a few owners in Suffolk and we've recently met at Copdock, which is not too far from you.

Hi, Just thought id best say, when i said great car and great forum, i wasn't boasting about my car, i meant all Vx220's are great...phew :-) Anyway yep the Armour fend was well past it's date, several graphics shops said they have never seen on so badly deteriated, it took several days to remove a tiny bit at the time as they didn't think i could do it without damaging the paint work. There's another post here somewhere explaining that :-( I live close to Colchester, so borham services are doable.

Hi, Copdock is even closer so a meet there is good too. i keep trying to find excuses to drive the car at the moment. Probably because iv'e just had the costly task of Tax and insurance...ha.

I'm lucky the previous owner spent a bit of money it, sporty exhaust, itg carbon filter, nice wheels and possibly had it mapped? Can't say for sure but the mods were done at plans and back on track.
