Hi

I have a second set of turbo wheels that I am going to get refurbed in a couple of weeks with my first set. They will then be going up for sale. They are in great condition all round, only one very slight curb on the whole set but the usual lacquer degradation on the back side of the wheel from brake dust....which is why they are getting refurbed. They are absolutely straight and mechanically sound. Looking for £500 (excluding postage) after a complete refurb from a specialist wheel repair shop that carries out all wheel repairs for the Vauxhall dealers in my local area of the uk. Details of the refurber are : http://www.wheeldoctor.co.uk/. The buyer can have painted them any colour you like if you pay me before they for refurb other wise they will be put back to orginal silver.

The PX ones on ebay (where you probably wont get wheels of the same mechanical standard as your originals back) is £285 plus a load of faff and cost stipping tyres from your old set and sending wheels back and forth.

Due to my set having the high quality refurb it is costing me around the same price as the PX cost so grab yourself a bargin set of wheels that will look like they have just come out of the box!

FYI I'm based in north lincolnshire.

PM me if your interested.

I think you'd struggle to fetch anywhere near £500 to be honest. Tidy sets with tyres have been changing hands for around the £200-250 mark, factor in the refurb cost and they'd still be cheaper than your wheels. I'd sell them 'as is'

But to be fair if you bought a set of wheels in normal condition and then refurbed them as new condition as I stated it asin this case it would cost more then 500! a good refurb is 275 including VAT (most advertise 230 without vat) plus good wheels at 250 = 525

Just wait in 5 years when its all about classic standard cars we'll all be buying back standard wheels at £750 a set as they will be rare as everyone has TD1.2's lol

That would be cheap if it was wheels for something common like an astra, but these wheels only fit VX220's so there is a very small target group... Add that to the fact that people change from the standard wheels to aftermarket ones to improve handling, and that tyres are silly money for the front wheels. That's why standard Vx220 wheels don't fetch much money at all.

Plus VXT wheels are fugly :P

Agree with the first para. But I do like to the look of the snow flake on the VX. I think that they suit it well! I wish they did the standard rims in normal 16-17 lotus set up with normal sized tyres. I would definetly buy a set
