Does this paint match system work if the paint is faded at all?

 

Wouldn't mind getting the code for my rear clam as it's completely different to the front/sides.

A body shop near me who work on Lotus cars use the the colour code then fade it back util they reach the right shade ,If you bear in mind how old the average car is, so there is a few years of faded paint

Most of the metallic /pearlesent  paint came from Dupont used on the VXs and Lotus models

Yup, mine is Dupont B67! Looking forward to taking mine to my local man, his colour matching is superb! Just need to decide whether to colour code the silver hardtop now!?
