Cliffie's chassis seems to be holding up juuuust fine, and that's older than 10years and has done over 100,000 miles, seems a bit of a moot point.

I know of a yellow S1 Elise with over 200K on it running a supercharged Honda type R engine. Other than some ropey bodywork it goes just fine.
