I have also made custom shafts for the vxr / 6 speed conversion into n/a instead of the europa shafts. As in joined with machined sleeve to join the astra to vx ones

That's brave! Seen it done many times... never seen it work... and Europa shafts are cheap enough.

My source is drawing a blank as to the OE supply of this part. :( Its not Lotus specific though, its just a case of tracing the original part.

I have not made any of no.2 as believe FLD may have found a supplier of some kind but have the drawings to make

no.5 - I modded the original setup to work and spot on
no.3 - I made a bracket to reuse the turbo oe gearbox mount (3 hole one), made in draft and drawn up and making this week

I have also made custom shafts for the vxr / 6 speed conversion into n/a instead of the europa shafts. As in joined with machined sleeve to join the astra to vx ones

If interested I could maybe provide the full set as a kit and you would just need to put it together - certainly works out a lot cheaper than buying the europa bits for the conversion

You're a bad man if you offer this... and if you setup a Group Buy I'm going to need to delete my account with .org as this site is slowly sending me broke :D

They are not that cheap :( and the conversion is is on a very strcit budget

Yep seen a lot over the years and seen a lot break managed to break a shaft once drag racing but looking back was not the best way to have joned them. The way I do them now works well and same way as the 600bhp atw renault 5 drag car and 4 years on they are going strong.

And of course the Europa item is there on the shelf in the future if required

Looks good, B-) I cut the old f23 gear cable section, cut the m32 one down and welded together. Waiting for the gearbox rear mount adaptor back from water jet machine bods, decided to drop the draft steel item and put it into cad to save time.....although now still waiting lol Means you can retain or box mount and chunk cheaper than europa item
