Bump
Pretty certain my thermostat is doing (and has never done) anything… It blows vaguely warm air, regardless of the heat position.

Do you have a multi meter?
If so, disconnect the plug going to the silver valve (bit on the right hand side of this photo with the two hoses connected)
And plug the multi meter into it, with the dial set to half way 9and ignition on) you should be seeing it change from 12v to 0 v every 1-2 seconds.
If it is doing this, it's a new valve time, if it's fixed at a specific voltage, it's new controller time.

So, this is weird. After how ever many months of telling myself "I should really get around to figuring out what the problem is", I remember today to throw a multimeter in the passenger seat. I was thinking that at lunchtime I'd test it, and respond after.
On my thrilling morning drive around the M25, the car was suddenly really hot. I have the controls set to full heat, full fan, and just leave them like that all the time. But the vent was kicking out some serious heat - which has never happened before. I set it to cold, the air went cold, I set it to hot, it got hot again. I did this all the way to work, revelling in the joy of it working.
So, mad right? On the day I bring the multimeter, it miraculously fixes itself. Have you wired in a screw-with-people module that you can remotely trigger? Is there something I should still check?

hah, I can't explain that, although I remember we first thought it was an air lock, so maybe that was the case and this has finally cleared it. Keep an eye on it, and let me know if it starts acting up again.

Installing my heater and the plastic screws holding the blower are broken. Anyone know what size they are so I can replace them? Cheers
They're M4.
If you replace with metal bolts. Make sure you don't over tighten. That's the reason I included plastic bolts

Hey all, two questions :
- I have looked through the thread but haven't found the answer... is there anywhere we can buy the Mk2 heater ? Couldn't find it on Revotec either ...
- If one cannot buy it anymore, could someone take a picture of the bracket of the hot/cold cable on the Mk1 heater ? It is free-floating without a bracket on mine, I need to figure out where the fulcrum is.

Only for sale via me, no units left. There *may* be a new version as I have had many requests this winter, but with other activities (headlights mostly) this won't occur until next year.

You sir are a gentleman. I'll keep an eye out for a new version, in the meantime I guess I will take the old one out, seal it, change the air pipe and replace that pesky hot/cold cable by a servo control. Thanks for the swift reply !

Is there somewhere people can put their name down to buy a new heater, should a new version come available? I would certainly be interested.
