Partly. The bumper part is re-attached at the side so its sound. Its rising up the to-do list.

Im in Stafford as you know Tom, if someone can get it to Stoke I could pick it up from there for you Tom, then you & SJ have an excuss to see mine & Kelly's new place
That would be perfect! VX network is brilliant.
With regards to moving things on, I could then take them as far as Oxford/Bicester/Cheltenham if anyone wants one that kind of way.

Here's the bottom surface finish....
...and here's how I've marked in some possible locations for bolt holes. There might be some you dont drill, there might be some extras to drill but these are a good start.
Final price is 110. I couldn't come down more as I neglected to add VAT to my costs The pics are of what you'd get, you may want to paint it, polish it or whatever. 4 looking for homes.

Your kitchen looks in a bit of a mess there, mate.
It'll be fine. Cath will be over at some point

Happy to help, every little bit saved means it can go towards sorting your kitchen out

Matt, how many runs of this do you think you'll be doing? I'm definitely interested.
I'll do them as and when required. The initial run of 5 was a 'look see'. If people want more then I'll get some more done.

I can get custom boxes made up. Got to tidy the kitchen, got a viewing tomorrow. You picked a colour yet?

I'll hold fire till I've seen one fitted. Might look decent carbon wrapped or dipped.
Presuming skinning something that big wouldn't be cheap.
It MAY be possible to run a line of carbon tape over the front lip part to get the look. I've not explored this yet but I dont think it would add too much to the cost if I could get it done right. I might have to do this myself. I see little benefit in making these in carbon after seeing some damaged ones.

Is carbon tape the vinyl stuff?

I'm guessing you could easily carbon skin it, which as the unit rubs the ground and wares out you could simnply reskin to rebuild it.
These two sites may be of interest to you Hark;

One of the links has a how to on it for the vacuum process where the guy makes a bonnet scoop. It looks so easy. You could buy a length of carbon cloth and then skin the air damn. Then when it gets damaged, just reskin it.

My thought was a line of this across the front of the mold first but it may get weave disturbance with the shape. If this happens its a scrap part. I need to try it. I think the easiest way would be the vinyl wrap in carbon vinyl.
