Yes, there is progress on these. No I'm not going to disclose all of it yet, I don't want to have development as public as the heaters to reduce pressure to sell before they are ready. Current plan is to develop units identical or similar as possible to OEM units, with bi-xenon projector in place of halogen unit. Changes to construction will be significant and will be intended to produce more durable units. The lenses will not unclip, the headlamp units are very compact and there simply isn't space to add a latching mechanism. Further more the need is not regular enough to demand a latching design.

All sounds good to me Tom. Looking fwd to the next update already ;)

Looks like this bloke had the best idea to get rid of the crap standard lights..... The clam really makes the vx look more modern

Eeewww, that's really horrible. The front and back don't match, it looks like two different cars bolted together. And that lip at the bottom of the front bumper looks ridiculous

I always have my lights on.in such a small car thats so low it makes you more noticeable to blind drivers. Is this going to be an option for those who want it?

You know, I'm lookin forward to the upgrade as much as everybody else as the standard ones aren't great, but they're a damn sight better than some cars out there, after all, its not like they're the old sealed beam units or something (guess I'm showing my age a little though!)

Fezz, have you considered the possibility to install fog lights in place of the high beam proyectors?

No, and I won't be. I take enough issue with people driving with fog lights on as it is, i'm certainly not going to move them to a position where they can dazzle more.

So if the high beam job is taken by bixenon units I assume that finally the functionality of those proyectors will be only for flashing (H7) and oem sidelights (ba9s). It's correct?

Main driving lights will be HID, this means both dipped and high beam as they will be a bi-xenon unit. Obviously side light and indicators will be incandescent.

I expect to start getting quotes back for manufacture of mouldings and parts soon.

+1 I think the vx headlights are OK. You should all try driving one of the early Mercedes ML's the lights are shockingly awful on those.
