Maybe too late to suggest, but why no LED-versions?

And if xenon, is that HI-beam too?

It's already been answered in the thread with a comparison of output. LED projectors aren't as good as the best xenon projectors (yet), the reason OEMs are fitting them is they consume lower energy so aid fuel consumption.

projectors are bi-xenon, so both dipped and main,

Shame they would not pass French stupid MOT (xenon have to got the washer stuff which could be sorted, but also be self levelling, and they check it at MOT) :(

They will.

Washer system is in development. Vehicles with limited load carrying capacity are exempt from self leveling.

I also have H7 halogen adaptors.

Finally sat down with all my supplier costings to put together total cost and final purchase price.

Headlight details:

- price is for a pair of front headlights, fully assembled

- available as both RHD and LHD. No price difference.

- Full one piece carbon fibre enclosure (available gloss or matt black)

- Headlamps as follows;

+ 3 inch Bi-xenon projector providing dipped beam and non-flash main beam (however can also be configured for H7 halogen if needed)

+ 90 mm halogen main beam unit with sidelight (same as OEM), providing main beam (including flash)

+ same as original indicator unit

Cost

£1300, £650 upfront cost, £650 payable prior to delivery

Production time

approximately 6 weeks, however this is small volume production at a carbon fibre site supplying motorsport, so rate depends on other work. At the moment the production time will be quick (summer shut down for F1 teams), however once into October it'll be very difficult to get any production time.

So.. who's in?

Closer...

Thanks Tom.

Will there be a non-carbon version one day or is this the only one that will be made?

No. Carbon only, however you have the option of a matt black paint.

Simply put, these are hand laid parts in a complex shape so major cost is labor not materials so switching to fibreglass will have negligible savings.

Production costs weren't all that different apparently.

Painted version are available to match as close to OEM as possible.

I've got two pairs of lenses ordered with you from the crowdfund way back that I have yet to claim. Can I have a price for a set of these to ship with the spare pair of lenses?

Sorry for nuisance.

Sorry what I meant was is there a black version now or are they only still in carbon?

How much brighter are these to the standard lights with the H7 fitted in your kit?

Also pictures show lights with no headlight lens, do they come with them or do you have to re-use the originals?

Also how do I pay you? Can I pay by visa card?

Most answers should be in the thread.

Headlights come carbon, black, or black and silver. There is a £30 premium for the latter due to the extra work by the paint shop.

There is a comparison of the standard output to the xenon D1s projector i'll be fitting as standard. h7 adaptors are only for countries where non-OEM headlights are difficult to use. - link http://www.vx220.org...rest/?p=1859180

They come with lenses.

Payment details have been sent to people who have expressed interest so far, however final numbers are needed by the end of the month so there is still time.
