Hey Fezzasus,

I have read the last few sites and recognized, that you already made and delivered a few RHD and LHD sets.

I am wondering why we still havent received our pair. If I am right, we are on place 3 and 4 on the list. (Wizzard8 and me ordered together, Germany).

Doesnt look like a fair delivery strategy to me.

As you might imagine, I am getting more and more nervous over the time, because we paid a lot of money and were hearing nothing but excuses since years.

The Brexit thing doesnt make it much better now.

Can you please give a statement when you will deliver to Germany ?

Maybe you can understand that were getting the feeling of being "ripped off"...

Thanks and kind regards, Fabian

I've emailed Tom (have sent PMs in the past) using his email in his profile, hopefully he can provide an update.

It doesn't look good, he was last online here 20th Feb, so will have seen the requests for updates after he promised "first week of Feb".

Please update the lists Tom, how many sets are ordered, how much money is held by Tom (I think a mix of deposits and full up front payments?) and when the people will receive their orders.

Hi Fabian,

I completely understand your position and I agree that enough time has gone past to start to feel bad about this. It is not where I wanted this to get to.

If I am perfectly honest, the remaining effort to deliver these headlights has been significant. The design and fit of the rear enclosure has taken years to get right, and I really needed to be comfortable with the quality to ensure that people were happy at the cost that went into this. I greatly underestimated how much time and effort that refinement would take. I have also struggled to scale from prototyping these to being able to make set after set with confidence how well they fit and work, as there is a reasonable level of variation on the rear face of the carbon fibre parts (meaning that one part will not fit perfectly on a different headlight).

Regarding the sequence of production, I am not going down the list from top to bottom. The list simply states who signed up and when, not order of payment or order of priority. I am now trying to batch make each type as this is quicker. The headlights I have dispatched have all gone to the UK, this is deliberate because I can easily take returns to make adjustments. Right now I have one returned to me with a main beam fault. Once I have confidence that each headlight is perfect and will not experience issues (in both fit and function) I will ship outside of the UK.

It does seem that way.

Is it wrong to ask for a list of who has ordered what, how much money has been taken and when the remaining order holders will get their lights?

Tom, why is it so secretive that you can't share with the forum on which you've taken all this money?

I think people will be less certain to hand over money for another scheme like this now with regards to future product development, but maybe that's just my opinion and as we know it doesn't count for much as I'm only trying to protect people's interest and I'm not an active purchaser of the lights.

Tom replied to Fabian, but still chose to avoid the question of just when the lights will be sent to Germany.

Yes and no. No it is not wrong to ask for an update on what was ordered and by whom.  But to be honest it is not right to ask about the money.  That's between Tom and the people who ordered. What purpose does it serve to ask how much money was taken and if you've not ordered a set what concern is it of yours? Do you want an invoice and a timesheet for every purchase and hour spent to get the product to this point.

Communication has been shite. We can all see that. The time has been too long. We can all see that.

I do think that what maybe you should be pushing for is for people to be given the opportunity to get their money back if they wish.  That would be a fair outcome for all. But I think that offer should come from Tom.

Andy,

No, not looking for an itemised receipt list...
But would be good to know for the benefit of the forum, if it’s 10 orders at £50 (not so bad), or 20 orders at £680 (that’s a lot of money to hold and potentially refund, as per your post).

That’s the kind of info, rather than itemised. Hope that makes sense.

Lee
