You could have a dsop downpipe made to suit the let turbo and run the jolly nice chap pipe off that, but the length it will need to be to exit in a 'nice' place it will be heavily silenced.
Fitting an external gate would be a bastard of a job with the let turbo.
Sounds like it not an easy job! On the Vx anyway

Talking out of your arse as usual Slind!
A simple 3" hole saw taken to the rear shelf area would sit the exit pipe nicely close to your ears would it not!? Simples.
Think outside the (plastic) box FFS!

Another problem with screamers (not the type keeping Lps awake)
They are the only type I can't stand, other than that I love 'em

For hole saw lovers its no problem, but for "ladies" wot do chavvin its not an option I'd imagine

In short Aimy, it's very hard to do whilst keeping the K04 turbo. This is becuase there is almost no room around the penny valve in the K04 to weld in the screamer pipe.
To do it, you really need a new exhaust manifold, new turbo, new external wastegate, new down pipe, new screamer pipe. It is easily possible to aim the screamer pipe directly downwards out of the bottom of the floorpan. There is a potential power gain to be had from a screamer pipe, as the gas can be ejected without the resistance of going though the exhaust. This means there is less back pressure in the ehxuast which the turbo doesn't have to overcome.
Thanks for the sensible reply nev
Sounds like too much work involved maybe at a later date who knows

Easy to do if you go to stage 5, in fact no extra cost incured what-so-ever. I briefly thought about having one in Nipper, but I decided that the noise would be too much fr my ears to warrant perhaps just a 10 BHP gain. Also, its an MOT failure point if they spot it (though it is fairly easy to make it discrete/semi hidden).
