Little update, Couldnt get to mbes to pick up a battery tester (no car  ) so did my own little test of turning the ignition on, putting the headlights on and flashing them... all died so definitely the battery. But only one headlight is working, and im using HIDs... coincidence or possible suspect for draining the battery? Vx is on charge now that ive brought my ctek back from the dead :D

Balls!

Anyone know how to trace a drain on the battery?

dare say some sparks on here will help but you could try get a multimeter disconnect the live from the battery and put the meter between the battery and the live ( keeping it away from the battery) see if any amps are being drawn if so start pulling fuses to see which one reduces the drain if any I also found the alarm siren back up battery draws power constantly to keep itself charged so if its knackered it may be drawing power from the main battery ?? Who knows I could be talking Bolox but worth a try

So keep the negative connected? I tried to change the battery on my old car by taking the positive off first, it nearly made me poo myself  sparks were flying and my hair stood on end

Git!

Hopefully you've solved it, I'm going to test it with a multimeter to see if that's what's draining it, hopefully you're right... Again :D

Will licking it give the same tingly effect as with those little box batteries?

Right, she's starting now that the battery was on charge for about 15 hours. The battery reads 12.35v and 13.90 when running. I've also done the parasitic draw test thing. It reads 0.36amps no matter what fuse i pull... I've tried all of them  Does that seem like something is drawing power?
