Hiya Boyd,

This is the only forum i'm on to be fair, just because of the nature of the car and how unique it is i thought i'd come and get some advice from those in the know.

Welcome along then. I'm alright ta, currently car-less though after crashing my second VX - this one is just in for repair this time and wasn't my fault at least! I'm a daily driver - 40 miles a day (used to be 60). I've done one winter so far and I have no interest in selling up - it's the most practical car there is as far as I'm concerned. My commute is 90% glorious, quiet, windy Hertfordshire B roads, so it actually gives you motivation for the drive to work! And the car gets very good mpg too (especially compared to my mate who has a 1.8 MX5). From what you've been asking about the roof; it isn't hard to put on in a rush and if you get caught in the rain, although the rain won't touch you above 50 mph. It is very cold place to be though and I had to buy myself a hard top to try and warm it up for the December and January mornings - so fair play if you plan on getting your top off over the winter months, but it's painful in the mornings!
