Also, how do you change between the two maps?
A switch in the boot. Its not mounted to anything and ill relocate this in the cabin at some point but its only likely to get flicked before a run so in the boot isn't an issue.

Much nicer power delivery on the standalone.
Question is, how does it feel on the road?
Need to do some proper miles in it but heres my first impression.
The more powerful map is similar as before but more confidence inspiring. I was worried if Chris made it really smooth then it would be slower but it certainly doesn't feel it. It feels more like a car that has that kind of power from standard as it is a lot smoother than before.
The lower powered map is brilliant! This is probably the best thing about the package for me. I intended to flick the switch and drive home but i had to do a few extra miles as its a lot of fun. its dry tonight but its so nice to be able to plant your foot flat to the floor without spinning wheels and looking for change in road surfaces or pot holes. Its no where near as quick but tonight despite it being dry i found it more enjoyable.
I reckon theres times where you want the power - Showing off to friends and 90% of the time on track. Then theres the other time where you are on a bumpy windy country road where you want to chill out driving fast without worrying about the above.
Bad points
Cant stand pulling off with the feel of the pedal, stalled it a few times tonight. The pedal is stiff and once going i like the stiffer pedal as it gives me a better feel. I might get use to it but ill probably have a play, the benefits of it being fully adjustable.
Duncan left a load of swarf in my footwell.

On cold start the car sounds a bit shitty and when you blip the throttle it stutters and struggles. Drives fine.
Coolant temps seem to be higher. Now high 80's even on the road when they use to be around 82, 83 degrees. This may be because its now giving a more accurate reading as nothing on the cooling side has changed.
Still does the turkey flutter when coming off boost at low boost. This doesn't cause an issue as part throttle is good its just the sound of the turbo stall. Not sure if this is because of the turbo im using and the fact its right at its limit.
Cant wait to get it on track!!!

Interesting the switchable maps, presumably engine has to be off & you can't switch whilst running?
Nope switch it any time. I asked Chris this as i thought the ignition would have to be off so the ecu has no power on it but apparently that isn't the case. Cant see when im likely to want to do it half way through a drive though.
Chris commented on how well my charge cooler was working as even after a couple of hours of dyno runs temps were still good

Who fits the cable throttle,dg? And scoff (Chris) maps it?
Duncan fitted the bits then Chris mounts the ecu and the wiring, then maps. He's done a lovely job of modifying the old door lock backup battery mount so the ecu is mounted to that out of the way in the corner of the boot.
