I'd be keen on a set of fronts and rears when/if they get done but in no rush as I have more than enough work/expense for the winter as it is.

I'm definately up for these and rears when they come round. I'm planning to open and blacken/turbo the lights then reseal. Having lenses makes the splitting process a lot less terrifying.

My original front lenses are shot to pieces on a car that has only covered 25k miles so am hoping these will hold up better than the originals have. What would the pros and cons be to fitting a layer of Armourfend or Ventureshield over these while there still new and shiney ?

I had my brand new spare OEM headlights covered in Ventureshield when I had the front of the car done. Seems to be standing up to the test of time well. No idea what effect removing it would have on the OEM UV protective coating though.

Hi guys,

So the firs set of protos is here. As mentioned earlier with some small details to be adapted. (currently in progress)

What can I say? it´s great to have a set of so nice fresh and new lens covers in my hands.... SEPERATED from the entire unit (and also separated from the pricing of an entire unit, be it new or used...)

Quality is top, as expected/hoped. if searching extremely detailed, a small change in the appearance of the material can be found around the termoformed edges of the cover. But this is due tpo the difference OE/replacements, which can´t be hidden by 100%.
But althoguh I´ve tried to get it caught on pictures, I didn´t manage to do it :). So especially installed, there will be no difference in optical appearance compared to the OEs.

The missing inner lip also turns out to look really nice, as it makes the overall appearance and looks much smoother/cleaner.

I´m really hapy for the inital units. look good!
Cnßt wait to see the final spec with all the details sorted out (contour of the black surrounding etc.)

Will keep you updated!
Plans by today: finish/close group buy window by end of december and star production. delivery of first batch by end of january beginning of feb.

As I can´t really upload too many pics/MBs here, for those interested in more pics (and subscribed) check out the german forum:
http://forum.opel-sp...45

Best regards,

I did eventually. You have to enter all sorts of personal details before it's accepted - quite rediculous, but a useful site when you do manage. GF ORCE8, it would really help the others if you'd post the pictures here.

Hi 2-20

You can put your name whereever you want.
However, for EVERYONE on the UK forum pls write LHD in case you want a LHD spec.
As the e-marks seem to be different (this is why I ask for the pics please :))

@ ALL who are on the list already, please state *LHD* IF you need a non UK version (KurtVerbose ? any others?)

Best regards
