I did 24 years in the RAF mainly on Tactical Refuelling....in other words a fuel expert.

Ohh cool, interesting stuff. I don't know a great deal about helicopters but i've been up in the merlin a few times. I find it amazing the amount of kit they can have fitted. we had a huge 50 cal machine gun fitted once! The fuel doesn't seem to last long! We're always replenishing AVCAT at sea.

What do you do now if you don't mind me asking, i'm always interested in what people do after being in the forces.

lol, so these "airplain exhaust gases" are everywhere... hmmm

one morning i counted 12 (yes thats twelve) of them crossed and stuff and they stayed there for a looong time.

I know what you mean about those plane trails but then i did try to catch them as they added a certain little extra to the sky. They didn't come out anywhere as nice and colourful as they looked that morning but hey-ho.
