Man, I really need to stop buying things.

That's new brake pads front and rear bought.

Things to do/fix/replace:
- the brake pads feel like wood. New brake pads ordered
- The electric windows stick part way down.
- the gasket in between the back box and the center off the exhaust is knackered. Gasket ordered and received
- There's a few tiny holes in the softop about the size of a pinkie nail. Transparent patches bought and received
- the suspension rolls a lot
- clear out the drainage holes Done one side
- get some touch up paint on the edge of the door before it rusts.
- New tyres with stiffer sidewalls that aren't cracked or Korean ditchfinders. Emailed John to get some prices
- Service it Filters, spark plugs, oil and HT leads bought and received

You might as well change the brake fluid as well if the pedal feels like wood, just to add to the list. Steve

That's where I just got my brake pads. 30% off all the pagid stuff which is apparently pretty reasonable on an MX5.
Should have looked at the same time. £16 for 5 litres of the stuff.

You can't run an MX 5 on a £5 Bob  Are you using it, or is it laid up to work on ? Not the weather to be working on cars and I have the steering boot to do on mine My mate had the 2.0L MX 5 for years and he loved it , He kept promising to fit the Mazda lowering kit. The only thing I can remember about it was how easy the roof was to just pull back with one hand and clip without getting out The suspension rolls a lot  it,s not a VX remember.

I'll be using it and working on it at the same time. Gonna need to get the suspension sorted out before too long though.

You are a jinx Donkey! Finally decided after getting all this stick from you that I'd take super shed out for a run to work this morning. Going along the airport road and it starts dumping down with snow. Heater and rear screen demister worked well this morning though. Snug as a bug in a rug.

Sideways bob?

Nope.... it was fine. even on the KDFs
Don't want to prevolk it until I have a better feel for it. Don't want to be one of the bawbags who stacks it days after he buys it.

The mx5 is far friendlier and easier to catch than the vx, that's for sure. Regularly had my mk3 mx5 sideways thumbsup

Yeah, when I drove one at kames it was very predictable, but don't want to be a "watch this..." statistic.
