My example was just on the clam part, but with vocky's part you could also protect the sides.

Just buy a sheet of nimbus and get creative.

I have the weapon r manifold which requires the boot to be cut. I just cut an aluminium sheet to form the new boot wall. I have lost some boot space but it is still very useable and most don't even notice the modification.

Most of us with aftermarkeyt manifolds use Nimbus on the boot bulkhead, after MartinS' car melted the original insulation. The interior of the boot in my car doesn't even get warm with the Nimbus GII installed. Can only find this picture

The edge you see on the right of the picture shapes to protect the thermostat housing and pipes there, although it gets a bit messy when it comes to removing the clam, as you can see.

This is what we did, turbo right next to it and boot inside surface is barely warm. Thermal velocity adhesive backed and aluminum high temp tape to cover the OEM under boot shield.

And you put this Nimbus over the OEM heat shield?

I did, as mine was intact and I couldn't be bothered to remove it. Just inserted the bottom edge of the Nimbus into the join between the two OEM bits of heat insulation. MartinS had to replace the whole vertical section of the OEM insulation with Nimbus as it had started to burn and disintegrated.

As I have understood it you shouldn´t wrap Stainless manifolds, risk of cracks.

But coating is OK.

That muffler with in and out on the same side is interesting! is it 3"?
Where can you get that?

Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing something everything , but I try to fight on . Some has happened .
Oil cooler mounted and fuel system mounted .
Oil cooler placement might not be optimal, but I do not think it is catastrophically bad either.
I remember that the K series does not require very much oil cooling either.

I've started working on Gear Shift 1.2 , hopefully I have something at the end of the week.

Then our Chairman's for the Swedish Honda club sat grill in my head. Thanks for the Andreas :-)
More info on that coming in a few days .

I have also removed the rear calipers to try fresh up the brake calipers and replace the brake hoses.
Got to take the angle grinder to it, it was so rusty.

Best Regards, Per

Well I had to change the couplings on the hoses for the oilcooler and got around to a few different companies to find low pressure fittings that
flows better than high pressure , I had to have 45 degreer with neither 90deg or straight would work. And finally I found 45
degrees which was for low pressure but then it turned out that the coiplings were very "long" So I had to tilt the waffle and remove a seal . Now it will be OK even though it gets tight. A little more than 1cm between hoose and body . Does anyone know how much a standard engine moves ? This will move less tho.

Posted Image

Even the hoses to oilcooler sat tight and had to drill out the body and grind down a bit.

Thanks, you got to love the internet. To me it looks like OEM is moving around about 1-1.5cm from center total of 2-3cm, accelertion to Engine breaking. And about half with the Engine mounts. Do you agree? BR, Per

Last friday I got a new thermostat. Not the Worlds most exciting thing ut it makes me feel safer.
Posted Image

The new to the let and the old to the right Last Winter I bought a lot of stuff from Us and I ordered the variant that was included in for my Engine for US market, at first I didn´t pay to much attention but when starting Connection all the hooss it stared to feel wrong.
Well now it feels better, the hoose is safer connected and I got a few centimeters more space towards te fire wall.

I also try to find the right piecesto build me exhaust system.
When bulding with 3" it seems like you don´t have as much to choose from.

So question, wht do you thing Abou the location of the Catalytic converter in the Picture?
I need to Place a 180 deg bend after it too so it feels a bit Close to the tires.

Placing a 180 deg bend right after the manifold and then the cat will make the distance between cat and
muffler around 25cm fom eac other, I afraid this will kill my muffler.

Anyone have any idea how Close you can Place the muffler after the cat?

I would shorten that long manifold cone to the point where it is the same dia as your v-band piece, so that moves your cat to the right.
