I´m no a fan of cutting that manifold, I know this manifold should give me great bhp and the cone is there for a reason. Ofcourse this would make my Life a bit easier, but aloa a bit more boring ;-) Any more ideas? BR, Per

why not move the cat closer to the manifold, chop out the section between the blue lines. Seems silly to reduce and then enlarge the bore size anyway

True, but the limited space in these cars means you have to make compromises to get things to fit.

If you really want the maximum power then you should cut the luggage compartiment from the clam and use a manifold that sticks straight out of the engine and goes over the subframe.

Something like this:

Otherwise you have to accept that some tradeoff decisions have to be made between usability and performance in the small area you can work with.

Bye, Arno.

I hear what you are saying Arno. And yes compromises are needed all the time building cars or what ever you do. But there are better or worse compromises or better or worse ideas.

Vocky had a interesting idea, even tho I won´t cut it that much, because how I have learned about megaphone headers the reason the megaphone expands in size is because it needs to have a decrease without loosing out in diameter and this sudden decrease is for the sounds pulses to bumb against while you need are for the gases.

Well I just called a Swedish exhaust Company and they were not to afraid of placing the muffler 20cm after the cat. They are also looking into the possibility to modify the muffler like in the Picture below.

And here is where I´m thinking of placing the muffler.

I had a silencer about 2cm after a sports cat on one of my Piper systems, when we were trying to quieten it. No problem there. From memory we even had the post-cat O2 sensor was after that small silencer.

So now when I have reomved my steering rack I´d thought about increasing the castor angle while it´s more accessable.
Whats the upps and downs for adding castor angle?

As I understood is the upps are more negative camber while doing specially Sharp corners (but all corners)
The streight line driving will also be a bit more stable.

The downs is I will loose a bit of steering feeling. Have I understood this right?
What are you guys having?

So even tho I haven´t done much updates here it doesn´t mean I havent done anything.

I have bought a couple of things that I have got home recently.
The last thing I got was a tow hook bracket.
Posted Image

I aslo wanted to make my Life easier when changing to LHD, my initial plan to rework Everything is cut a bit shorter
I also need to save time if I want to drive this year.
So I bought this panel.
Posted Image

I have also started to tear down the front and around the dash panel for my LHD conversion.
Posted Image

Posted Image

It´s very time consuming to be me, I hate rust and I hate broken things in bad condition, maybe a bit of perfectionist.
Just a littlebit tho.

So I had to paint my calipers, am not really satisfied with my car beeing silver so I need som color to it.
Posted Image

And some more painting.
Posted Image

It will also feel great to have some more new parts on
like my new radiator. The Honda Engine is using higher internal pressure for the cooling system
and as I have understood it this radiator is partly built for the higher pressure.
Posted Image

And my new Quick steering rack.
New vs old.
Posted Image

My next brain exercise will come how to easiest convert this pedel to be wire controlled.

Suggest you speak to DuncanVXR about going to a cable-actuated pedal. I'm fairly sure he installs these as part of the standalone conversion.

There are three holes on the top (in the photo) of the gear selector, I assumed there were three so you could adjust it

Yes using the top hole makes movement of the stick 12.5cm from end to end position (forward/rearward) next is 11.5 and bottom hole is 10.5. Originally in our Mazda 6 it is 12.5cm so this was the reference. Also the "hook" in the bottom of the rocker arm is to make the push rod about 1cm longer to make the angle of this a Little less, together with bottom hole raised 2mm. BR, Per

Lately I have done repair work on the cooler surronding part in fiberglass. A question, if I want to pain this black, can I use any spray color or is it best to use spray color specially for have on plastic? I´m afraid if choose the wrong spraypaint it can dry out the fiberglass? And it will age faster?! Thak you in advance for the help. BR, Per

The fibreglass is dry anyway. It doesn't matter what type of spray paint you use, however you may need to use an etch primer for it to stick.

So, soe updates needed, since I need your help.
Anyway a Little weekend work
a reworked air distributor box for my LHD conversion
Posted Image

Also trying to figure out what to do with the Electrics and started to look at Engine harness.
Only 2 out of four connectors fits to the ecu, hmmmmm, why?
Posted Image
I also have a complete harness for a Acura RSX (same as Civic type R)

Also figuring where these 2 connectors should fit
Posted Image

Is there any electrical scheme for our cars with connector positions?
Very soon I will start dig into this Electric really Deep.

Also the instrumet in th Spedster is fully analog right?

Last, where do I buy Mintex 1155 for front and rear cheapest?

BR, Per
