S31 is the reversing light switch, all the F23 gearbox reversing light switch does is join the two wires together, nothing fancy.

Time for an update. I noticed this edgean thought it could be some problem if drive shafts
would interfear with this, I don´t know but I thought I better do something about it.

Posted Image

And of course I need a exhaust system. I though I had all the bends needed but the nbend I had did have to big radius so I had to buy new ones. 3" with 100 cell cat, 1 full flow muffler and one with S bend inside. Just waiting for some one to help me TIG it. DO you Think I will be below 95db with this?

Posted Image

And the dshpanel is ready dressed in fake suade. I am not sure yet how I will mount my tunerview2 large dash screen. Any ideas?

Posted Image

Also I have rewired the Cables for the reverse light. + into Engine harness connector #1 and from #2 to reverse light.
Hope this works.

Found this today, had ttally forgott about it.
Does it belong to the Speedter even? If so where does it sit?

Some progress. Getting closer and closer to that test drive.
I´m somewhere in between not having any energy at all for this building right now and a lot of energy to make it
ready when I see the it comming together. A strange feeling.

So put Everything together in the front end and the front clam is finally on. Yay :-)

I cut the fibreboard sheet along the red line in the picture below, then made a new metal heatshield

Is that the Nimbus heat shield? Is it rigid like Sheet metal and you attach it with screws? BR, Per

Yup.. It's basically a 2-layer folded aluminium sheet that you can cut with scissors (and then fold the edges over so they do not separate) and fit it with some washers/spacers and nuts/bolts.

Very easy to bend/shape. It works best if there's a small air-gap at the back between the shield and any material that it's protecting.

Bye, Arno.

I always recommend exhaust wrap if there is risk of heat radiation, it's cheap and really quite effective. That's an "interesting" (convoluted) exhaust system. I hope that back box is big enough to bring the noise level down, as it looks rather small to me... Keep the pics and write up coming, this is a great project.

You did see there are 2 mufflers? And 1 catalytic converter. I really hope this is enough. I don´t rally have solution if it´s not enough. Well I have all the Winter to think about one. I will make a video once the exhaust is welded. :-) BR, Per

Can't see it very well and it's a turbo but this is what we did with mine. Had no probs even with fully loaded boot on long trips, it gets warm but certainly not hot to the touch inside the boot. Carpet and foam are removed.

Oh and I had the down pipe done in Zircotec at considerable cost but does seem to work well.

Further to Steve's post. The fancy reflective material does work very well and ceramic coating although far from cheap seems to out perform normal wrap ;) It is starting to look good, looking forward to seeing finished project DG

I've got a very similar setup to Steve's but I've got wrap on some sections instead of Zircotec. As soon as I can afford it, I'm getting the ceramic coating. I do have heat issues, Steve doesn't. Case closed for me.

Mine are wrapped and every start up after rain it pours steam out the vents as the water evaporates, I get some funny looks but that doesn't concern me too much. What does is the metal being wet for so long, guess that's going to cut the manifolds life short :-(

In panic I´m working to have my car out before the Winter is comming. I need to finish up my new garage also and open up between the old and new part.
And then I need to take my car out so I don´t get bricks over my car. Also testing it before winter time feels a bit more satisifing to be prepaired for next season.

Comming home from germany last weekend haven´t given me much time but last sunday I installed me MFD panel, it took a whilr Before I understood Everything but I hope
it works now. The MFD is placed in the stereo slot but only temporary.
I also found out that I had a TPS sensor from a Acura RSX base model instead of the Type-S as I should have, so I odered a new one asap. And looking int the mailbox every day.

Posted Image

Also got a new shift know. The quality feels great so far considering the price.

2 weeks ago a friend helped me to TIG werld the exhaust. It looks well, I realy hope it aint to loud.
Posted Image

And then the rear clam is back on. It´s not very fresh considering it have been out for 2 Winters.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Now I need to clamp all the bolt and nuts for the rear clam so it won´t fly of, when the new TPS sensor is arriving I will take it for a test.

I´m still positiv for good wether the comming weeks.
