Or get some fans on it but you will still need to get the air from outside the car not the engine bay

That oil cooler can't have any air flow over it at all. Terrible idea
Thank you. :-(
I know its not optimal, but I dont think its that bad. When you have the inner wheel fender in place. It will steer the air around the cooler.
And when I installed the cooler I was told the Honda K didnt need much of an oil cooling, well the cooling is not enough in my car.
I think using a fan and control it is somewat could be good thing in my car.

I guess it was too easy.
I will test this tomorrow and if it fits nice I might print the whole arm.
It will look something like this, minor adjustments could come.
And I Think/hope the PLA platic is strong enough.
I will stick the current metal tube inside of the hole you see in the Picture
Just some spray filler and some paint.

Something similar on my project

I don´t know, not really.
I will cut of the ball joint and stick the metal part inside the arm
so the arm section will be a designed shape. With a little wing profile. :-)
Counting of producing a massive downforce with this, of about 7 micrograms each side. :-)
Guess if it will work out good an update for next year would be to paint them with a 2k clear coat.

Exactly I had that moment exactly 1 year ago at Gelleråsen.
In speed above 130 the mirroors tilted in.
I filled the ball joints with Epoxy glue (Best I could do at the trackday)
Left mirror became alright, but right mirror looks a bit tired, but I don´t dare to touch them. Since they
are in a decent posistion. :-)

Side vent?
#818
Posted 03 August 2019 - 09:54 AM
I will try and make a copy of OEM first.
And then a turbo inspired vent replacing the NA.
I will make it in 2 pieces since my printer only do 215x215mm or so.

Side vent?

I tried that with a piece of aluminum. Not that easy when starting from scratch. In the end I bought Lotushardtops side vents. A lot cheaper that way . But when fiddling around with that piece of aluminum, I thought it would look better if the vents do not extent to the door, but only part way. That's in case you do not remove the small side panel, like you do when mounting the turbo vents. That way you won't get as much air in as with the turbo vents, but it will be a lot more than with the normal NA grill. Only issue is the mounting of the thing.
The turbo vents work very well, especially with spacers at the back of the diffuser to let the air out. I got the impression that they also generate substantial drag. When you're in for a challenge, you could try to add louvers to the design that you can open and close, with an actuator controlled by some electronics, depending on how much air you need. Like some of the current BMW's have for the main engine radiator.

The idea is they will be a replacement to OEM NA vent. So no other modifieing of the car than this vent.
I will go down to the garaget later today and measure and take Pictures and do some small templates.
I realize, this will take some time to make it perfect. To fit nicely and look good.
I need a bigger 3d printer for this so I can print it in 1 piece, I will buy a new printer when I move to the new house, dont have space for it now.
I though of making a cover which I can have driving on the road and removing during trackdays, But will se how that works out.
I have other Projects so will not to a temp measuring Active vent, atleast not this time.
I also have other things I´d like to design and print for the car.
But I will upload all things to thingiverse when they are all ready.
