Did you get the shifter mounted?

Not yet, working mainly with the supercharget bracket.
it could take some weeks.

It was not the last print.
2 prints later and the 3rd tomorrow.
I have been thinking regarding the belt tensioner and how toget there hose bend in between the valve cover
so a new plate was drawn and now it got space. But need to move another 3mm.
Then I also drew and trimmed in a stay from the intake that stabilizes this bracket even more.
[
Drawn this and tested.
Anyone know what it is?
Doing my side intakes a bit again with and printed out a small test print.
In cura I chose "shell" 0mm and with 15% infill I then get this finely braided pattern.
Afterwards I brushed it with polyester 1 layer (so far)
The experiment was more to seeif the polyester came in between the PLA
and it does and it seems to attach well,
Thought to test with a little more infill to a more fine-mesh net.
The catch is if I gain anything from this?
It should withstand heat and stress better ?!
I am considering replacing the last 2.5 "bend with a 3"
and remove the megaphone. Still do not know if the system works as intended when I have the bend.
From the beginning, the megaphone went straight to the left in the picture with a 60mm tube.
If I remove the megaphone, I get more space for a flex hose and possibly get an extra muffler there
What do you think?

There is progress in the garage even if the speed I want isnt there.
I have changed my clutch. I thought I let the engine stay in the car this time and only remove the gearbox.
I´m not so sure this was the best idea. Felt like it is faster to remove the hole engine. I need to think about this until next time.
A Clutchmaster FX 400
Also I thought I check if I have a LSD of any kind and it´s not a slip so it must be a quaif then.
Arno said if I can see through there is a Quaif.
I´m positive and sure I see some light through there. :-)
There must be some light, I´m sure I can see through there.
I also bought this and got it from Poland 25.5 hours after I´ve ordered it with DHL.
a Forge FMDV008
But, which of the springs should I use.the one that is already installed or any of the 2 in the package?
Nowhere I can find the info about stifness and they feel about the same?
Also on top of it, it is a vacum hoose inlet? Do I need to connect this to something?

Hi all
I need your help with the posistion of the oil cooler.
I have mounted an intercooler like the Speedster turbo in front of the right rear wheel.
And intended to place the oil cooler behind the intercooler.
The problem is there is very little space there and its a great risk that things will collide with each other
when it moves and since its so tight I dont expect it to flow very well either.
An idea is to place the oilcooler next to the intercooler and rely on a fan.
Another idea would be to place the cooler over the gearbox.
It would be easy to fit and make good mounts for the cooler
And in that case I get a cooling fan there. As in the picture, but a little closer to the gearbox then
Another issue is the location of the cooler if it is higher than the connections on the engine. Will the Oil then flow
back into the engine, and the oil cooler must be refilled every time you start the engine?
Or is it enough to turn the connections on the cooler upwards?
I also want to avoid putting the cooler on the left side because that is where the air filter and rotrex cooler should sit
and the the oil hoses would be very long then, over 1.5 meters.
Also bought me a couple of new gagues, my old ones stopped working.
Thanks in advance

Does the air filter box have a nossle? And how does the rotrex cooling look like?
Either way shared on the left, or double whammy on the right is better then the heat soak near the exhaust me thinks.
I take it oem look is preferred, and a contraption is out of scope?

What about a laminova oil cooler?
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Could be an option. But I through away the one that came with the car because I didnt want to load the
water cooler any more.

Early sc conversions uses an oil cooler standing upright in the crashbox.
These were smaller so air could still go around them to cool the regular radiator.
Not sure if you are keen to runs hoses through the sill though.
I´m not sure if I want 7meters of hoseswith pressurised oil in?
I think placing the cooler over the gearbox with a fanblowing the air towards the exhause.
Shouldnt be a problem if it is placed in front of the exhaust with all air passing by?

II did the same and fitted a normal oil cooler in the side vent but my oil on track was going back into the engine after the cooler at over 125 degrees C, I fitted a laminova EC54 and now the oil never goes over 98 degrees C on track. My water temperature is slightly higher by a few degrees, but never goes over 105 degrees C.

+1 I also use a laminova as an oil cooler. Same location as the normal oil cooler. The laminova is just more efficient. I did free up the main radiator by not piggybacking an extra radiator for the charge cooling. That's now done by a PWR air-to-coolant barrel cooler and two radiators to the sides, where the fog lights used to be. I put the Rotrex radiator in the ear where you plan the intercooler. Just plan the location of the Rotrex oil canister such that you can keep an eye on the oil level. Shouldn't be an issue when everything is installed well, but the health of that Rotrex does depend a lot on the oil. And for peace of mind checking the oil level now and then doesn't hurt.

Damn I think I will reorganise a bit.
I think I better move the intercooler to the left side and keep both oil coolers on the right side
I think both oil instalation and
air piping will be easier this way.
But then where do I take my intake airfrom? Right or left side?

Updates in the garage.
Got this little IAT holder made.

I think I get a little too much vibration into the cabin, (Long-stroke 4-cylinder engine without balance axles)
So a 6mm wide groove in half the depth is milled, the hope that it removes some small vibrations but prevents the engine from moving much.

Last summer I bought an EP3 pulley from Honda celebrity M Vinikka, to reduce the charging pressure a bit.
Painted for it and changed it. After consulting Anton who will map the car, the K24 pulley was changed back.
Pretty easy to change and had the opportunity to refurbish it. :-)

Now I have decided how the coolers should be placed. 2 oil coolers in the right compartment.
and the IC in the left.
But is this right?

Both pipes come up from above. I hope the flow will not be restricted too much through the intercooler.
An inverted Speedster turbo intercooler moved from right to left.
I got help with welding from a friend.
am super happy.
IAT welded
And a small 1/2 velocity stack
Spring is already here, panic panic.

The intercooler internal piping diameter is now 54mm compared to 38mm as smallest original.
This was the most advanced thing I did last weekend
2 wooden sticks. :-)
I am measuring the gear link on the gearbox so on the 3rd try it was like this,
the right stick is on the gearbox and the left on the shift linkage.
The exhaust manifold has been modified the last bit from 2.5 "to 3"
Got help to weld it together at work along with some other stuff.
Anyone know how hard to pull the 2 manifold pieces together?
And some other stuff.
The belt was too short unfortunately. :-(
Before the manifold was reassembled, I added a new manifold gasket
And then I saw that it dripped oil from the oil waffle.
Luckily I had a new gasket to the oil waffle.

Have had my chair mounts powder coated and thought of putting the chair together.
But then it turns out that the screws for the belt buckle and fittings are too short.
Found a suitable screw in the hiding place at work that a friend helped me turn.
It became finnemang
This was for the buckle
Had to put a longer screw to the anchor plate aswell
After a bit of fixing, the seat was assembled and ready for real. Not just almost
Now I have saved a few kilos on the chair
sits a few cm further down
and hopefully I sit more firmly.
So I do not try to hold on to the steering wheel on the cheek hill to sit still.
A little evening mech finished.
But what are the plugs for?
One is for cigarett output? And the other?
Thanks
