So, my plan to have the car up and running by midsummer have been totally destroyed. But it feels alright

instead I´m aiminf for a full season 2014 and with the car "ready". One reason I haven spent so much time building on the car lately is I build a porch.

But I have done some small things, ordered even more missing bolts and other missing stuff, taken away the Honda text on valvecover and resprayed it, taken away some material on a Engine mount so I could fit it with one forgotten sensor. Done some porting on my intake manifold after I red about some tips on K20.org. Some small stuff

I also bought a OEM hardtop withhout fittings and seals, where can I buy this for lowest price?

So one thing I also thought about doing is to change the suspension bushing to these. http://www.elise-sho...vx220-p-60.html

Any experience of these?

Hopefully I get the Engine into the car within 2 weeks.

Are these aftermarket suspension bushings form Elise shop Good sh*t?

Or is for example OEM bushings just as good and it´s pointless to change bushings?

Any comments on this?

OK, I know I red this somewhere. But why?

My car is a 2003 year model and ofcourse new bushings would be the best.

But I belive OEM bushings are a pain to change compared to the aftermarket?!

So the decision is to keep current bushings (Do nothing) Or to change to aftermarket new bushings.

Which is the best alternatives of these two to get the best handeling?!

If they're not worn I woudnt bother changing them. It would be a lot of work for little gain. Spend the money on front ARB and some good shocks first and see how you go.

Its an OEM but its got some brackets missing at the front that you cant get separately.

At the front see where you have two small holes and one small hole next to where the covers screw in? Theres a metal bar that goes there that the fixings screw into. Then you can use the Lotus fixings.

When doing the Electric, can you use the chassie as a grounding point sinces it glues together but also pop riveted right?

Second I´m looking for webbing guides for  4 Point harnes that I can install in current seats, anyone knows where to find these?

A good ground will be found on the chassis beam on the left side. That's the point where the engine ground is connected in the engine bay and the battery is connected at the front.

Any other chassis part will not have a good ground as the aluminium parts are anodised and the parts are mostly bonded and the peel-protection rivets are also coated in glue during construction so continuity is not guaranteed.

IMHO the best method in these cars to get a good ground is to connect to the existing ground points on the chassis on the front or rear and run (thick) cables you need from there. Any other point will most likely have significant resistance/voltage drop.

Bye, Arno.

Weekends work. Changed my megaphone header a bit, hope it will work fine like this

Posted Image
My friend who I bought the header from cheap will cry when he sees this.

you need to fit the cat at that point, then loop the exhaust 180 towards the front of the car, then go across to the otherside and loop it 180 once more, then add the backbox and you will have a good performing exhaust.

I thought about this the other day. Should I really put the catalytic converter directly after the megaphone? Or should I put a 180 deg

bend and after the the catalytic converter? I though having the bend Before the catalytic converter could "Clean up" the gases a bit.

But then I´m afraid the catalytic converter is comming to close to the silencer and and the heat from the catalytic converter could burn up the inside of the catalytic converter.

Does anyone knows where to buy mandrell exhaust bends for good prices?
