if anything the cat after the U bend doesn't run so hot on mine

Im a bit confused here Vocky since you wrote in the quote that I should have the catalytic converter directly on the megaphone. But you Think its better to to have the bend first and then the catalytic converter. Yes?

if you want the cat to work at 100% then fit it on the megaphone, if you want to slightly reduce exhaust heat then fit it after the U bend thumbsup

At the MOT it takes ages for the cat to get hot enough, even after driving around for 45 minutes before I get there

I haven´t done anything really the last 2-3 months. But I will try to get started again.

I hope I will be able to test drive it Before new year.

The real goal is to have it ready by april.

With a new diffusor and LHD converting and gauges and so on.

engine bay coolant pipes. gearbox side: large = return from radiator, small = return from heater engine side: large = warm coolant to radiator, small = warm coolant to heater

So the Opel Engine have the water intlet on the gearbox side and outlet on motor side.

The Honda Engine have the opposit it seams and it would be much more simple if I could run the water in the other direction, would this be possible without any major modification?

I would swap the radiator hoses for the toyota elise parts. They have the bleed valve on the other side because the water also runs in the other direction.

a few of problems reversing the flow ......

1: as stated above, bled nipple on wrong side of rad = change rad hoses for elise versions

2: the oil cooler would get the hottest coolant (going to the rad) rather than the coolest (from the rad) = fit an air cooled rad rather than the water cooled version

3: the coolant reservoir would 'back fill' - this would be the biggest issue = move the reservoir hose to the heater circuit

No 2 and 3 wouldnt be a problem since I will delete the oil cooler and get a air oilcooler instead, which I aklready have.

I need to change a lot of hoosing anyway since this doesn´t fit with the Honda Engine.

But else there is no 1 way walve in the system or some other issues like you want the inlet wate on a high side ad outlet in low

or anything like this?

Where is the beed nipple located? Ho does the water resorvair tank works? The thick pipe in bottom is comming from inlet water and the thin higher pipe is going to the outlet water engin. Is the height of the locationcompared to the Engine very important? Or does itjust need to stay above the highest water Place in the system?

no valves to worry about, I cannot think of any issue running the coolant the other way.

Bleed nipple is usually on the left hand side of the rad, but is on the right hand side on the elise.

The reservoir needs to feed extra coolant at a similar place to where Honda use in the civic coolant system, so you might be able to adjust the hoses to suit.

I was looking for  wilwood rakdisc for alubells, but they onl have discs that are 20mm width or 28mm

How would any of theedisch fit with std caliper.

Aso I´m not able to past any link fromphotobe into hear any longer.

Does nyone know why it´s ilike that?

Cheapest place is elise parts - they sell them for around £300 per pair. I do have a pair of Aluminium bells for AP discs going spare if you're interested, however the AP discs are around £400, so not the cheapest approach.

the coolant reservoir also usually set the minimum pressure in the system so need to be plumbed in at the inlet to the water pump.

Running the coolant the other way, no worried either for the heater line either?

standard heater can work in both flow directions, fezz upgrade heater will need the valve turning around

Major mile stone.
