Distinctly possible. They were sadly misinformed though. They could have left them fully exposed with a sign saying help yourself and I wouldn't have touched any of 'em.

Yeah, it was very nice. It's a barn of a place and not especially personal (if that's what you want) but the food was great. I had the veal sweetbreads and the aged sirloin steak and both of those were great. The wife had the pig cheeks (which were so-so) and the pulled pork which again was great. I'm going to go back as I _need_ to have the "pit beef" that they do. Just couldn't unfortunately do both at the same time. We we even ordered a mac and cheese as a p!sstake, after watching too many episodes of Man vs Food and the American love of it. Turned out to be pretty good and not at all how I remembered it from childhood,

This is one of the bars I've been to up north:

The whole way round the bar walls looks like this. You pick the bottle you like and take it up to the bar and they pour it for you. thumbsup.

Thought of you on Friday night as I was sipping a Limoncello at another restaurant. No idea what brand it was but it burnt like a fothermucker on the way down.

It's London and half of them were £50 a measure, so probably sensible.

was it 'clear' (but yellow) or was it like lemon curd? if it was the former then it was commercial shite :(
